I just cant believe how funk-metal and nu-metal this is. I mean, the people who review this band are really smart. There is no other category this song could fit in other than nu-metal. I mean, Korn and Disturbed sound exactly like this so i can see the influences. Totally.

actually this is ambient and obviously here is a lush aspect of R&B and funk. But in general this would be classified as basically experimental rock. It cannot fit into one comfortable pre-made style. Just unconventional. Korn has mood to it but not quite like this, but yes they are a primary influence on Korn. Disturbed is more hardrock or somewhat influenced by older metal style with a little bit of the dense sounding riffs you see today.

It was ambient then intenses. Nothing better than a song with a little variation in mood. Learn to appreciate at least some power in music. Understanding where everything fits and what best executes differing emotions opens the door to genuine understanding about music. Softer music cannot replace what you can get out of the heavier stuff, and likewise. Everything has it's place.

If FNM reunite, I'd be shocked if Jim comes back. He doesn't seem interested in it. Plus, if he came back they'd probably remove all "King for a day" and "Album of the year" material from the setlist---which would suck.

I actually think a FNM reunion is totally possible. Mike Patton is open to it, which is great. I wouldn't count on it happening until Patton decides to go on a hiatus from his million other projects.
