How is the blade centering on your Spartan? I just got one and it's a P.O.S. (see my comment over at Nutnfancy's video)
I could feel and see the rubbing first time opening out of the box. Adjusting the pivot screw didn't help. And unlocking it?... forget it. It was a two-hand, full-on effort, leaving my fingers raw and aching.
It's going back, but I don't know if I should go for an exchange or money back.
@EnduringEagle Checkout mlacey56 who sharpens a Rajah using a good technique. I would also recommend a clean ceramic rod and a good deal of patience. I own a couple of Rajah 1's so I know the trouble they can be. Without a flat spot on the blade the clamp systems don't really work. I sent one in to Cold Steel and it came back looking like an intern with a grinding wheel was let loose on it. Try the ceramic rod and table edge method of Mlacey and you should get good results.
@EnduringEagle I think as long as you don't damage the blade you could just use a strop. I use a leather belt and green buffing compound on my Kershaw Tremor. I plan on getting this knife soon

Wonder how well the Lanskey sharpening system would work on this blade.

Bob. Are there any issues with sharpening a re-curve? i have the Rajah III and find it tough to sharpen. Any suggestions?
