  • I love that Suzanne was conscious of the effect her work would have on others and on society. She was such a cool lady. Beautiful, intelligent, funny and caring.

  • @Duke535

Actually the husband on the show is scripted in a way that portrays him as a big kid, so instead of 3 sons, she is actually raising 4 sons! That is his character and face it, in reality if you act like a child others will treat you as such...

  • very smart woman , just wonderful . she was lovely

  • I like her character at lion king 2 she voiced Zhira

  • She REALLY had it pegged when she mentioned an actors "responsibility" to help make the world a better place....sad that more do not feel this way...

  • It's wonderful to listen to Suzanne Pleshette, she's gone but not forgotten. I respected and adored her.

  • I'll be at Chasen's with Suzanne Pleschette!

  • Wow. Have loved Suzanne for her work for decades, but this interview proves not only did I know nothing about her, but that who she was as a person makes her wonderful performances pale by comparison. For those who know her only as Bob's beloved and bemused Emily, please rent Hitchcock's The Birds and be stunned by just what a range she was capable of on screen. And in life as well, as this interview documents.

  • Suzanne was a gorgeous and talented actor who,(along with Marlo and MTM) showed the 70's genertion exactly how strong and smart and fascinating a woman can be.

    My first crush...

  • All five parts of Miss Pleshette's interview are hilarious, good-natured and highly informative.

I am grateful for the many Archive interviews that I have been enjoying. However, I am baffled as to why the interviewers almost invariably speak inaudibly to people in their 70s and 80s.

We, the audience, cannot hear the questions, and the interviewees have to ask, "pardon me?" again and again to men and women who repeat themselves, but do not speak up. Where is the common sense?

  • oh bob!

  • I loved Suzanne what a great lady thanks for posting this video!

  • This is such an important interview. It gives the viewer an insight into the mind of this wonderfully funny, intelligent and incredibly interesting woman. There was a little bit of Suzanne Pleshette in everyone. She had that quality. View actors are as interesting in interviews as Pleshette was. It's also interesting to see her consciousness in this. She was one of these people that got better and more interesting as she grew older.

  • Thank you for posting this footage of the late, GREAT comedic actress, Suzanne Pleshette. I can't think of anybody else who could have even half the depth of charater of Emily Hartley, as brilliantly as Ms. Pleshette. She will be missed. I thank her for so much laughter.
