It's not enough to just read it however, nor is it enough to analyze what you believe the text to mean. You have to go back to examine the culture of the people that wrote that book. It has been thousands of years since the old testament was written and culture has changed quite a bit since then.

You aren't free from homosexuality. You are just suppressing your true feelings and emotions. In the long term that will cause more damage to your emotional and spiritual well being. How unhappy you must be. The bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals and 362 to heterosexuals. Does that mean heterosexuals are living wrongly too? Heterosexuals commit adultery and divorce which the bible disagrees with, but you don't see people casting stones at them. Don't just lest you be judged!
