  • Had forgotten this song,,,thank you for posting :)

  • I'm a man and i hate other guys that disrespect woman :) i love this song!

  • I just want some of these women to admit that they create such men.Go look up the term "dark triad" ladies. You say you want a nice boy but always pick the bad boy.Yes.Choices have consequences.

  • This sounds like an amateur cover of her early performances... :(

  • @testestest13 i think it sounds like a seasoned, mature, subdued performance; not as charged but still amazing.

  • This song is amazing... and shes soo pretty! :D

  • I never understand her appeal until I heard this song. That was like ten years ago. :)

  • simply beautiful.

  • the oh! god! is so pure and reasonable, childlike

  • It is surely a metaphor for casual sex?

  • Q: Hey, what that useless bit of skin that's attatched to a man's dick called? A: The man.

  • @wkdbtchvthwst sexist much??

  • this song is so sad! i think this is the song about her rape!

  • @mydancerocks I don't think it's about rape, I think it's about modern dating and a womam feeling the need conform to what's expected of her even though it makes her completely uncomfortable and even miserable to do so

  • I love it!

  • wat een schaap

  • Anyone else can't stop thinking about Father Ray Mukada from Oz :DDD

  • @Jonasvalgo He freaking rocked this song! XD Mukada ftw!

  • Funny I see this as two people having fun with some edge play. What's your safeword?

  • but then women for years have used their sexuality for years to great advantage so there lies a dilemma. I guess we are all social hypocrits but we all have another thing in common...we love the work of Tori Amos

  • @TalkToTheBody I agree, but I think the reason lies in the fact that we have so few advantages. Men have always had more rights, are usually more mentally controlling, and in so many cases they can physically force us to do things because they are just stronger. If they want to treat us like objects, it's only natural that that we were going to start taking that insult and use it as our only advantage.

  • @RoguishBlonde Hey you are preaching to a man who totally understands the woman's position. My words were not sexist in favour of men, quite the contrary. I don't agree that women have fewer advantages, they have held and will continue to hold high positions in society and have great influence but yes men are more in abundance but that is because women have the children..fact of life I'm afraid but a rewarding one at that. Remember, bullying men are as much enemies of the good man too than women

  • this is an awesome recording of this song. it seems to have more feeling than the quick original. love it.

  • I get a complete sensory overload listening to or watching Tori Amos...(and Ive met a number of my favorite musicians in my life)...........but being in that room while she played I honestly don't think I could keep it together.......she utterly astounds me.

  • I love tori amos!!!

  • fantastic...she´s so cute...:)

  • lsdmadman, can't you really appreciate the fact that with age things change their colors and get more intimistic?

I am in love with this recording. She is absolutely brilliant and Great.

  • the voice looses some of its quality as one ages but that is no reason to get upset. Just apresiate the fact thats shes still here still singing.

  • And that she's doing real performances and still making real music.

  • shes just trying to enjoy it

  • love her now and always but i don't really like her slowed down versions of her songs..i can understand her doing it tho after she's been playing the same tunes for decades...but..........

  • probably been touched on before but can't be bothered trawling through pages upon pages...but where's the Bosendorfer? Why's she playing a Steinway? anyone know?

  • She's playing in a radio studio. Bosendorfer 280 is hard to carry...heavy

  • Hmm this song shows how men use women as sex objects... and how messed up it is. And then the anger from the woman that's been treated like a sex object and she grabs her leather after she realizes love doesn't exist. It's like her love hate relationship with men because she was molested when she was young. She probably doesn't feel like men can truly love. I totally get where she's coming from. But it's sad... I envision a French prostitute when I hear this song.

  • Reminds me of something I heard a guy say a while back..."Women; the useless flesh around the breasts and vagina". The idea most men in the world sees only that scares and disgusts me.

  • @Sersathias No, their hands are useful for making sandwiches.

  • @Solomonous You're forgetting handjobs.

Really, how could you forget that? D:

  • @Sersathias Don't be silly, spouting off macho nonsense like that might be good for a few chuckles from other guys, but there are very few people who are genuinely that shallow. Trash talking isn't confined to one gender either, I should know, I've got sisters.

  • @agg188 that's not at all what this song is about, but I can understand how someone would find such an elementary interpretation believable

  • @agg188 Yes! the song is a dichotmomy of beliefs. She could be a victim but she also relishes in the lust!

  • For this Goddess, there can be no substitute

  • all of you who think that this isnt tori amos are retarded. because seriously, you could just compare voices and know its her. and look at her teeth. its all the same. jesus

  • It is indeed Tori Amos .. and that isn't a wig.. she just straightened her hair!

  • haha no it is a wig

did you not see anything from american doll posse

i hate correcting people i always feel like an ass

but i mean that in the nicest way possible

    i still love you haha

  • sorry to disappoint but yes it is. she has a wig on but it's still her.

  • It makes me feel bad this has 28 k views.. this music is too powerful to be experienced by so few

  • I love her still, but she just doesn't put the passion in it as she did when she played 1992-2003.

  • omg another one!!!

for the longest time i thought i was the only one that noticed

but now there is you (and i was just at a video where there was another) anytime i ever say anything like that people try to bite my head off

  • I wouldn't go that far. The passion is still there. Its just more controlled. Its all in her voice. And this is supposed to be a performance that's a lot more subtle and low-key.

  • I'm not referring to this performance but her live shows as well, and her albums lately. And her voice doesn't sound as good as it used to, which makes me a little upset. It's barely recognizable, and it seems like she's doing it on purpose.

  • one of my favorite songs from tori. I wish it was the album version, this is one is alot slower.

  • This is just another version of a very beautiful song. Not a parody. Just a very sane genius performing a classic. What kjuska, you don't like the bangs? I love when an artist evolves. She is as great today as she was when this song first came out.

  • she's beutifull in every sense of the word.

  • I actually do lie this version with hte dragged out notes because it sounds sadder and it is a sad song...

  • its too amazing !!!

  • amazing *-*

  • My God, this woman...seriously, quick question: any man who has had her heart and it was his fault he lost it, WHAT IN THE UNIVERSE IS/WAS WRONG WITH YOU?

  • I am shocked thats a stainway piano no a BO

  • I agree that I like the earlier versions where she seems to sing a livelier version with fewer dragged out notes. Also, why is she playing a Steinway?

  • I guess that is what they provided for her...Hey Look at her eyes they look so beautiful and dark (almost brown) amazing...

    Is it just me?

    -TORI ROCKS

-Power to us ears with feet!!!!

  • Amazing....even after all this time.

Still give me chills every time I hear her...and she's been with me for 17 years now!

  • I've been playing the keys for 20 years, and can only hope to play HALF as good as that!!

    Top-drawer CLASS, is Amos.

  • Heh - seems to me that you're the one who's sucking with all that natural arrogance and stupidity. No, this particular song isn't difficult - the subtleties of the performance are what separates Tori Amos from you.

  • it may not be *technically* difficult to play, but the magic of tori's playing lies in the nuance, the way she completely connects to that instrument. you can hear her attention to detail, dynamics, phrasing, etc... in everything she does.

good artists can play. great artists can play with subtlety. and that's what she does.

  • well w/ that i can agree:)

  • The piano part at 1:54 gives me chills.

  • I love Tori Amos and this is my favourite song by her!

  • The inflection in her voice in this current version compared to original CD recording...what a difference. The pauses and inflections bring a whole renewed sense of mood and meaning to song. Her voice has matured along with her ability to convey deep rooted emotions. Amazing to listen to her depths and at the same time be relaxed within the chaos.

  • Is she wearing a wig.

  • yes, it's a wig...this is good but I like the original versions (of both hair and song) better...I'm just not crazy about the parts where she holds the notes out for soooooooo long--the song feels lower energy that way, to me.

  • I KNOW! I don't like when when holds the notes for so long either. I'm trying to sing along dammit!, LOL :-) I love the song though. It's on my iPod.

  • One of her best songs... Tori's fantastic.

  • amazing performance, Tori never disappoints!

  • i love tori amos and this is my favorite song by her

  • this may be a silly question, but is it a wig?

  • total wig

  • Classic Tori + good camera angles = happiness!

  • so sexy

  • I love her teeth :P

  • oh god i know!

  • Music is poetry in motion!

  • WE LOVE TORI!

  • Wow! You said it for me

  • I think her other look looks better than this one

this look is a little bit hairy?

  • right, she looks like a fairy! ;] but i think her old look was better.. well, she's always beautiful!

  • Did you guys notice that she's playing a Steinway? She's amazing (!!!), but I think the Bosendorfer sounds much much better !

  • Tori is like no other !

  • Love Tori !

  • she looks like a fairy..

  • fantastic as usual! TORI IS FAB!

  • She looks so different these days

    love this song :)

  • Awesome!! I love this song!

  • Yay for Tori!
