Viki should have taken her own advice--wouldn't have ended up with Sloan! But then ES wouldn't have ended up with a great storyline (lol) -- so Sloan it was (yuck).
@ 7:50 Some very good marital advice the writers gave thru Viki - but, there are some exceptions to one philosophy - my b-friend would be the ventilator and I am the withholder... ;~)
@Abbyviki Yes, I remember that well. But I am actually talking about AFTER all of that was long over. Viki was NOT happy that Cassie left Andrew and moved into the gatehouse with Kevin. She was very cool for a long while, until well after Cassie and Andrew's divorce was finalized. There were scenes with Kevin asking why she can't except Cassie while she was welcoming Tea into the family lol
I loved the "motherly" relationship Viki always seemed to have with Cassie. It was funny though... Viki was ALWAYS the standin mother for Cassie when she was on the outs with Dorian... and always welcomed Cassie into her family... EXCEPT when Cassie first got involved with Kevin... then Viki did NOT welcome Cassie into the fold for a LONG time :P Kind of ironic.
@Gadomi03 Viki was a motherly figure for a lot of characters. Sadly these days she has become Dear, Abby of Llanview and is used to prop other couples and characters!
Erika sounds a little bit sick here. I really like this Cassie/Viki scene, and how Viki tries to help Cassie understand Dorian, instead of judging Dorian. I miss this Viki. The dialogue here is just great (although I'm not sure about comparing Dorian to a drunk driver!).
I didn't know that Jon ever dated Luna. Too bad that didn't work out. They could have been happy, especially since she had no female relatives around.
@Gadomi03 Yeah, that scene was surprisingly sweet, and Jon looks really good here, his hair. It seemed like generally Cassie stayed on good terms with her exes. I guess this was not long before he left? I think he was a little bit too devoted to her family though...
@CarlD2 Yes Cassie was on good terms with all of her exes! I thought her breakup with Bo was her hardest... until her breakup with Andrew... that one was painful! But in the end, she remained friendly with all of them (except Maybe Kevin)
@Gadomi03 The stuff with Andrew was hard to watch at the time, although I did think she and KS's Kevin worked well together. I just hated what became of that relationship, ugh, TG's Kevin made my skin crawl.
It's strange because around the time she first became a proper couple w/Kevin she had a scene at the diner where she sat and ate with Bo and tried to get a story out of him. It was the first time in years the show had remembered they were once close.
@CarlD2 Yep... I was very torn, loved Cassie with Andrew, but Kevin brought back some spark to Cassie as a character. She had "lost herself" in the marriage to Andrew (and the church lol). But then TG took over and immediately K/C were thrown under a bus. They had so much potential... heck, I still think they have potential! And yes... OLTL quickly ignored the Bo/Cassie history and didn't meantion it for years!
