Dislocating my ankle horse riding

heyyyy!!! i ride and have hypermobility too!! its pretty hard to ride and jump coz of the stirrup needing to be shorter!! lool i hope your ankle is okay thoo.....ive knackered ma right wrist and the hospital never believed me when i had hurt it and dislocated it..they never did anything coz they didnt believe me so now its a ruined wrist! lol nevermind yeah you just have to be careful with riding and i have to wear a body protector.. coz if ya fell on anything e.g shoulder it will prob pop out!!

omg yikes, bet that hurt. im lucky, in 7 years of horse riding have never seriosuly injured myself, well never have all my life. touch wood. knowing my like now ill ride tomorrow and break my neck or something :( hope you're better now. p.s. gorgeous horse lol

Did it hurt alot? I've been lucky. Never have broken, dislocated, or sprained any part of my body :)

I dislocated it, but I know have ligament damage so have to wear an ankle support whenever I ride and be careful :)

ouch!! must have been weird feeling it pop out!! i know what u mean about carrying on though, i tore 2 ligaments in my ankle a couple of months ago falling off and got back on and finished the XC course, the adrenaline takes over doesnt it!! lol

i also feel your pain with the nurses not believing me, after they realised it wasnt broken they go ok... u damaged ligaments leave now... took 4 weeks of agony before they awknowledged something really was wrong lol.

It was really weird, although i heard it more than felt it - and yeah it didnt even cross my mind to stop i was just like right theres a jump there lets do it! lol.

yeah the nurse was just like well we'll put you in plaster to be safe - but now im out of plaster and i can ride very soon =D
