@optimusprine1310 No way! DH was all focused on the big battle and they weren't in school. POA had the best soundtrack, it was when Daniel was actually good looking (all went downhill sadly when he stopped growing hehe), it had Sirius who was one of my favourite characters, had a really good storyline and stuck fairly well to the book, and it was directed by Alfonso Cuarón; who ties with Christopher Columbus as the two best HP directors. FULL STOP. :]
Throughout this entire video I felt like you were me- I feel the same way! (Especially the part at the end with the Christian themes- though I see comments abusing it, that was one of the things that made Harry Potter so special to me) : )
Every time I have family over or friends one of my Harry Potter magically disappears, maybe I have to work on my protection spells. Not complaining as long they love the books as much as I do. Always carry a backup!
Ugh, please don't tell me that this book has christian symbolism. That'll ruin it for me. I mean I know the whole 'limbo' thingy was a little 'heaveny' but it wasn't at the same time. It left it open for all other religions to relate to. Singling out or having strong religious influences in books kind of ruins it for me because of the history religions have. It makes me cringe.
@oOMuzicBoxOo you don't have to see the Christian symbolism in it. I refuse to for the same reason. I just think it's neat to get inside Rowling's head to see how she thinks, no matter if it involves Christianity or not. (definitely nowhere near close to Chronicles of Narnia, for which i am very thankful.)
Wow, I never thought about it until now that you mentioned it. The end of the series, definitely tells she’s a Christian…you know Harry making a sacrifice for all the others and the part in the forest with harry and Voldemort and you know what happens, I don’t want to spoiled anything for other readers lol, but you know what I’m talking about. I had never realized that until now, and it makes so much sense.
2:57 that's what I always say dude, I get some of my friends to read the series and I get so jealous of how they're learning the whole thing for the first time. Oh that feeling
Sorry guys but OOTP is my least favourite :/ My list goes like this.. 1.) Goblet of Fire 2.) Deathly Hallows 3.) Chamber of Secrets 4.) Prisoner of Azkaban 5.) Half-Blood Prince 6.) Philosophers Stone (to brief) 7.) Order of the Phoenix But they are all amazing <3 Long Live Harry Potter!!
I didn't think much of OOTP to be honest, I dunno, I just thought that too many new things were added and too many old things were taken out, for instance, quidditch. And also for umbridge to take over hogwarts, and also the whole OOTP being secret and crap, and stuff like that. But, I still do feel the same way you do, it is definately better than most other books out there.
The one i liked less at first was Chambre of secrets (when i was like 12 y.o) because it was so dark and i was concerned of what was going to happen next, and it didn't have many enjoyable moments. The best for me was Prisoner of Azkaban, idk why, but when i remember it, i feel like crying, it's like i really got involved into that book. Same with the movie
I also hated Chamber of Secrets when I first read it, but now I like it a lot more. Prisoner of Azkaban is just amazing, it's like one of the turning points of the series.
OH MY GOD WE'RE THE SAME PERSON!!! EVERYTHING YOU SAID IS EXACTLY...oh my god! Except I've read my Tales of Beedle the Bard! And I wiiiiiiiish I had a Harry Potter class available to me!!
This is the best Harry Potter video on all seven books I have ever seen! Nice job! You explained sooo well! I'm 15 and I got into Harry Potter a couple years ago! I love the books and I don't know what I would do without them! I love J.K. Rowling and I'm almost tearing up right now! And I can tell that the empty space on your book shelf behind you is where your Harry Potter books belong! Right? Haha! And they have Harry Potter classes?!?! That's amazing!!!! Sign me up! That would be a fun class!
Chamber of Secrets is also my least favorite of the series, both the book and the movie. Second least favorite is Half Blood Prince. I also grew up with Harry Potter and I always feel sad for people who aren't harry Potter fans, because they just can't understand how important the books are to our generation.
The Chamber is my least favourite too! But I don't know which is my favourite, they're all wonderful... Maybe the 4th or 3rd, the 5th is sometimes too depressing, but i love it.
My favorite is The Order of the Phoenix too! And I really love The Half Blood Prince too.
My least favorite is probably the second one. I still love it a lot! But if I have to choose a least favorite, it would be that one.
When I started reading them, they were all out so I didn't get to go to any midnight releases or spend the entire day reading them...I still love them though.
These are my favorite books in the world! I could read them a thousand times and still love them:)
My favorite was probably the last only beacause of all the major twists. You didn't have to wait untill the end to be wowed. It started right away. It was really sad for it to end. I was even reading it rather slowly for it to last longer. The wandlore crap was really cool. I also really liked the chamber of secrets and the order of the pheonix. My least favorite was probably the 4th but I cant really say why. I just found it boring. I am sad i will never find a series that good ever again.
YES!! Order of the Phoenix is my favorite as well! (And Chamber of Secrets is also my least favorite, although I just re-read the series and I gained a new appreciation for that book because of the importance of Horcruxes.)
I also started with the chamber of secrets and could'n understand a word because i was not good in english at that time. (when i was 13). Harry potter is the first english book i have read and thats how i learnt english.
Harry Potter like started my whole reading experience. I started when the 3rd book had just came out and read them super fast. Ever since, me and Harry are like bros haha:) but ya I can't wait till the last movie comes out but I DON'T want it to END!!!! Its gonna be super weird for me without anymore Harry Potter but I have all the books and imma read them all again but ya I liked the vid
Im 16, and i have never really read that much at all, but I really wanted to get myself to make reading a habbit. I saw all of the movies when they came out, and really liked them. So I decided that before the last movie came out, I would read the dathly hollows... oh my god..... I am now reading the entire series.

If I could take 10 things to a desert island, two of them would be the last two books in the series.
Deathly Hallows is my favorite (I love the dark tone because I'm like that), and my copy of Half-Blood Prince is autographed by Mary GrandPre, the illustration lady. I don't want to let it out of my sight.
These books have played a major role in my childhood-adolescence as well, cause I was growing up with the characters!
I kind of mixed up the order too so after the 1st one I accidentaly read the 3rd and then the 2nd, and of course it didn't make any sense at first :)
My least favourite is probably the 2nd as well, but my favourite is the 4th, I don't know why but it's always been quite special to me...anyways, I just found your channel and I really like it! Hope to see many other vids!
i didn't like number 3. I read it after I read order of the phoenix so it made me sad to know that Sirius was going. I love number 7, because I cried my ass of for the 2 days it took me to finish that book. T-T R.I.P Dumbledore, Dobby, Lupin, Tonks, and everyone else that died.
i have about 6-7 books that i have to reed first, but when i have reed them i'm going to read Harry potter and i hope it's as goo as my brother, friends and you've told me. I tried to read the 1st one when i was little but i did not like it but i'm gonna read it again! :)
Haha, just like you I like the 2nd one the least and the 5th on the most. My dislike for the second one probably stems from the fact that I had to do it for a book report at some point in grade school and well, work and leisure don't exactly mix well. And for the reasons that you already mentioned, the 5th is my favorite as well. There's just a sense of unity and strength that the students embody that's just so moving. And that's also the one where shit gets real haha.
I grew up with Harry as well and am constantly astonished while rereading how beautifully the books are written. So many people, children and adults alike, were brought together because of these novels (go to any midnight showing and you will undoubtedly make friends whether you're 14 or 40.. also see A Very Potter Musical). JK Rowling, thank you for bringing life to your characters and literature to thousands
6 is my absolute FAVORITE and am one of the few who loved 2! 5 was least favorite tho
i also love the fifth one! i talked to my friends today about it and they were like "ugh how could u like # 5" but im with u! for me it goes : 5, 4, 3, 1, 2 +7. . . 2 and 7 are tied for the end however i read them in order, , ,
Harry Potter is absolutly possitivly freaking AMAZING!!!!!!! I think I read most of them in order except for the 4th and 5th and if you say reading the 2nd before the 1st was annoying because you didn't know any references think about this, the only thoughts going through my mind when I read Order of the Phoenix was "who the heck is Cedric!?" "What freaking graveyard?!" Lets just say I was confused like you would not imagine. I have to say that the 5th is also my favorite
@8BeautifulMe8 because thats the one where they start to really grow up and start to experience more things. My least favorite...I don't think I could choose. lol I could go on and on about Harry Potter all day and not get tired of it. Those books were my safe haven when I was younger ( I was so obsessed that when I got in trouble my mom threatened to take them away lol) anyway I'm done now soooo ya bye
Oh my goodness....My parents, my friends, and family have been rolling their eyes lately because of the redundant information I have been saying in the past 6 months or so all dealing with "the end" of this series. It's a bit ridiculous when I watch these things from different people that I almost tear up because of the very similar experiences people have shared. We are only growing up with Harry, we are all growing up together. It sounds tacky, but these things are the small blessings!
My parents sent me to church camps every week over the summer. I have a kid from one of them that remembers me as "the harry potter kid." The fourth book had just come that summer. :P
I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! Everything you said was true, like the worst Harry Potter book is the worst of the best. I've totally said that before. My least favorite was probably HBP and my favorite.... Deathly Hallows. But I adore them all. I can't really rank them. Maybe POA is my favorite. Oh well, I totally agree with everything you said. I grew up with them too. I now love to read because of them.
Theres a blog called Mark Reads and hes done Harry Potter and as he read through it I felt like I was reading it for the first time too <3 Harry Potter has defiantly changed my life.
Order of the Phoenix is BY FAR the best book in the series!!
Half Blood Prince is only good because of the sexual tension between Draco Malfoy and Harry.
I also read the Chamber of Secrets first and it is my least favorite. The Philosopher's Stone is so awesome that the second book doesn't measure up! :) :)
My favorite is most definitely the Half blood prince. I love the tension in the books as well as finding out along with harry what he will have to do if he has any chance of beating 'the dark lord'.
My least favorite is Prisoner of Azkaban. I don't like the sense if Sirius being bad. Part of the reason I don't like it tho is because I thought the movie was horrible.
I started to 'read' Harry potter books before I could read. I would walk around my house with a cassette player and listen to
It's weird because my least favorite HP book was the second one and my favorite one was the 5th although i had different reasons for them.....i totally remember when i first started reading these books and without them i don't think I would have been driven enough to make myself strive for an adventurous life like Harry's :)
You shut your mouth I loved Chamber of Secrets and was not such a fan of Order of the Phoenix (though I agree even the worst HP book is way better than a lot of the crap out there today).
Every time I go back to re-read the series I always find it surprising how short the first 3 are because they seemed so much longer the first time I read them. Then again I was only 11 when first I read Philosopher's Stone.
I'm kinda young but harry potter is the best book series i've ever read. It's just so amazing to me and i love it. The 1st is my favourite because that's the one my parents read to me when i was little (can't believe i thought they were scary.) but ever since i've read them so many times it's not funny.
Loved this video! Harry Potter is amazing. The third book is my favorite because Harry finally got a father figure (in Lupin and Sirius). I'm not a big fan of the 5th book, but I really liked what you said about taking control of their education.
One thing that bothers me about HP is how much Harry and Ron cheat on homework! I know JK Rowling has enough ppl on her back about stuff in the books. But I'm on Honor Council at my college! :)
My least favorite movie was the third because it honestly scared me. Ok, to be honest the second book had me completely scared out of my mind and shaking, with the snake and all the tension. But as for movies, the rat--> human transformation totally freaked me out. And thus, I have avoided that movie more than the others for that reason.
My favorite movie is the fourth movie--idk. I'm a few years younger than you so while I didn't really "grow up" with Harry in the books (I was 5 was my dad first read them aloud) but I totally did grow up with the movies! And when I watched the fourth I was at that perfect age where school dances and silly things like that seemed like the coolest things in the world and watching Harry, Hermione, and Ron party it up like that just made me feel....so excited for my life.
My favorite book is the third because it was just such a page turner and I loved the time traveling. My least favorite is probably the sixth because it was hard for me to get through. I kept putting it down and picking it back up again.
Harry Potter got me through a really difficult time when I just wasn't adjusting well to college. I think I read OotP like five times in a row freshman year. I think the breaks from the real world is what kept me grounded in the real world.
My favorite character is Dumbledore, and I felt that large chunks of the fifth book were essentially "Look how awesome Dumbledore is." I also relate to Luna more than any other character.
My least favorite flips between the second and fourth.
My least favorite Harry Potter book is also the Chamber of Secrets for the exact same reason as you. My favorite used to be the Order of the Phoenix, but I've come to enjoy the Half Blood Prince more.
5 i hate order of the Phoenix book and Movie, and 6 was my fave, but i think that comes form the fact i'm a HUGE Snape fan. So i was really happy when you see 6 was all about Snape i didn't like the movie tho.
chamber of secrets is my least favorite, i agree with you on that one, and i cant pick a favorite! they're all just SO good! and when u said that thing about how she said she was a christian and if you knew that you'd know how she'd end the series, i had a breakthrough moment i was like OOHHH whoa ur right! totally christian! i didnt even think of that before
(cont.) My least fave is Half Blood Prince. I think that's only because My bro ruined it for me and told me about Dumbeldore's fate before I even started reading it, so everytime something would happen I would freak out over Dumbeldore, so I couldn't enjoy it properly... :(
I loved this video, it is exactly how i feel about Harry Potter. Harry Potter IS my childhood <3
My favourite one is ORDER OF THE PHOENIX too, because I love all the DA classes and I love how when they all go to the Minstry together in the end they're all a big team and it's just very brave and amazing. I also love the creativity that's dripping off of the idea of the Room of Requirements, and even though I hate Umbridge, she is the reason all the cool stuff happend so it was amazing!!! <3
Also, the movies don't stand up to the books. Order of the Phoenix and Death Hallows pt1 were cool, and Half-Blood Prince was just tragic. My favourite book has to be Deathly Hallows.
I started with second book one day out on a whim and I absolutely adored it. I think I had already watched the first movie by then, and I was always a bit of a fantasy nerd so I guess understanding this and that wasn't very hard. I loved Chamber of Secrets because it had a *SPOILER* basilisk in it, which is a mythical creature that I think is really underrated.
As for reading, generally, I don't like it. But I read each book at least 3 times. I think I read Azkaban 4 times. Now I'm out of space
I didn't read the books until the fifth movie came out n.n'. And from the moment I started I became the most Hardcore Harry Potter fan in my family, who were already very engrossed in it. I remember the experience of all the movies as they came out and going to see them immediately, not knowing what to expect. And with the books it was even better (less waiting). My favorite book is the 6th XD but in movies, the 3rd. Even if I didn't grow up along with harry, I love him just as much.
Watching this video expressed everything I've been feeling for about a month now. With the series coming to a close, I feel as though my childhood is ending. And though I have reread the books many times, it is simply not the same. I almost wish I hadn't been addicted to the Harry Potter series or even read them just so I wouldn't have to deal with the pain of saying goodbye to Harry and the Wizarding World.
Harry Potter class?? Where do you go to school, I want to go there.
My favorites in order: Prisoner of Azkaban, Half Blood Prince, Order of the Phoenix, Sorcerers Stone, Deathly Hallows, Goblet of Fire, Chamber of Secrets.
I started reading them in 1st grade. My 8 year old brother went from reading books like Captain Underpants to Harry Potter a few months ago, and he's already on the 7th book! He might not understand all the words but it makes me happy that he loves it as much as I do at such an early age. :)
I tried reading the 4th because it was worth a lot of A R points in my elementary/middle school, but I got so lost in my own imagination while I read it, I don't even recall what it was about lol.
I totally agree about feeling like you've grown up with Harry! I will always look back fondly on the time when I could always look forward to the next book coming out.
ive read the whole series 207 times...im not exagerating...they are the only thing that kept me from feeling alone and useless...they're like my bible...every time i read the first line of the sorcerors stone i feel perfectly content...
i've never read Harry Potter. i think I tried to when I was younger, but this video has motivated me to go back and try again. I love to read now more than I did at 12 or 13, so this is going to be exciting. :) Love your videos!
I'm planning on re-reading Harry Potter this summer. For me, reading the last book was a chore (odd, considering that The Half-Blood Prince was my favorite) and I don't remember much of it. Of course, the memory loss could also be due to the fact that I pulled my first (of many) all-nighters reading that book.
P.S. That Biology textbook in the background looks an awful lot like my Campbell AP textbook.
All I can say is ditto. This video just describes my love for this series!

PS: The chamber of secrets is a good book. It kinda hurt when you said it was your least favourite.
theenumber1musicman 7 months ago
My favorite was probably the last only beacause of all the major twists. You didn't have to wait untill the end to be wowed. It started right away. It was really sad for it to end. I was even reading it rather slowly for it to last longer. The wandlore crap was really cool. I also really liked the chamber of secrets and the order of the pheonix. My least favorite was probably the 4th but I cant really say why. I just found it boring. I am sad i will never find a series that good ever again.

I also started with the chamber of secrets and could'n understand a word because i was not good in english at that time. (when i was 13). Harry potter is the first english book i have read and thats how i learnt english.

S13AR10AFan 9 months ago

T-T R.I.P Dumbledore, Dobby, Lupin, Tonks, and everyone else that died.

givdul98 10 months ago
Haha, just like you I like the 2nd one the least and the 5th on the most. My dislike for the second one probably stems from the fact that I had to do it for a book report at some point in grade school and well, work and leisure don't exactly mix well. And for the reasons that you already mentioned, the 5th is my favorite as well. There's just a sense of unity and strength that the students embody that's just so moving. And that's also the one where shit gets real haha.
Deadbolt715 10 months ago
I grew up with Harry as well and am constantly astonished while rereading how beautifully the books are written. So many people, children and adults alike, were brought together because of these novels (go to any midnight showing and you will undoubtedly make friends whether you're 14 or 40.. also see A Very Potter Musical). JK Rowling, thank you for bringing life to your characters and literature to thousands
6 is my absolute FAVORITE and am one of the few who loved 2! 5 was least favorite tho

8BeautifulMe8 10 months ago
@8BeautifulMe8 because thats the one where they start to really grow up and start to experience more things. My least favorite...I don't think I could choose. lol I could go on and on about Harry Potter all day and not get tired of it. Those books were my safe haven when I was younger ( I was so obsessed that when I got in trouble my mom threatened to take them away lol) anyway I'm done now soooo ya bye
8BeautifulMe8 10 months ago
Oh my goodness....My parents, my friends, and family have been rolling their eyes lately because of the redundant information I have been saying in the past 6 months or so all dealing with "the end" of this series. It's a bit ridiculous when I watch these things from different people that I almost tear up because of the very similar experiences people have shared. We are only growing up with Harry, we are all growing up together. It sounds tacky, but these things are the small blessings!
TheBalderdasher 10 months ago

I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! Everything you said was true, like the worst Harry Potter book is the worst of the best. I've totally said that before. My least favorite was probably HBP and my favorite.... Deathly Hallows. But I adore them all. I can't really rank them. Maybe POA is my favorite. Oh well, I totally agree with everything you said. I grew up with them too. I now love to read because of them.

sammy13351335 10 months ago
Order of the Phoenix is BY FAR the best book in the series!!
Half Blood Prince is only good because of the sexual tension between Draco Malfoy and Harry.
I also read the Chamber of Secrets first and it is my least favorite. The Philosopher's Stone is so awesome that the second book doesn't measure up! :) :)
Xx
GesterG91 10 months ago
My favorite is most definitely the Half blood prince. I love the tension in the books as well as finding out along with harry what he will have to do if he has any chance of beating 'the dark lord'.
My least favorite is Prisoner of Azkaban. I don't like the sense if Sirius being bad. Part of the reason I don't like it tho is because I thought the movie was horrible.
I started to 'read' Harry potter books before I could read. I would walk around my house with a cassette player and listen to
farmgirl1004 10 months ago
My favourite: ,,The Order of the Phoenix" and ,,The Prisoner of the Azkaban"
Least fav.: ,,The Chamber of Secrets"

It's weird because my least favorite HP book was the second one and my favorite one was the 5th although i had different reasons for them.....i totally remember when i first started reading these books and without them i don't think I would have been driven enough to make myself strive for an adventurous life like Harry's :)
paloms54 10 months ago
Last night I was at a party, and I was silly drunk and I decided to rename all of the Harry Potter books using the word 'asshole'.
1) Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Asshole
2) Harry Potter & the Asshole of Secrets
3) Harry Potter & the Prisoner of my Asshole
4) Harry Potter & the Asshole of Fire
5) Harry Potter & the Order of my Asshole
6) Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Asshole
7) Harry Potter & the Deathly Assholes
So upsetting... but Order of my Asshole is my favourite too!
aylwinkeenan 10 months ago 14
You shut your mouth I loved Chamber of Secrets and was not such a fan of Order of the Phoenix (though I agree even the worst HP book is way better than a lot of the crap out there today).
gregvstheuniverse 10 months ago
1) Order of the Phoenix
2) Deathly Hallows
3) Goblet of Fire
4) Philosopher's Stone
5) Prisoner of Azkaban
6) Half-Blood Prince
7) Chamber of Secrets

erinmarie840 10 months ago
order of the pheonix is an awsome book
the books are better than the films i think but the films are great
the books are just so awsome
shebeast6 10 months ago
My least favorite movie was the third because it honestly scared me. Ok, to be honest the second book had me completely scared out of my mind and shaking, with the snake and all the tension. But as for movies, the rat--> human transformation totally freaked me out. And thus, I have avoided that movie more than the others for that reason.
gnarlish 10 months ago
My favorite movie is the fourth movie--idk. I'm a few years younger than you so while I didn't really "grow up" with Harry in the books (I was 5 was my dad first read them aloud) but I totally did grow up with the movies! And when I watched the fourth I was at that perfect age where school dances and silly things like that seemed like the coolest things in the world and watching Harry, Hermione, and Ron party it up like that just made me feel....so excited for my life.
gnarlish 10 months ago

My favourite book has to be Deathly Hallows.
iamorlin 10 months ago
I started with second book one day out on a whim and I absolutely adored it. I think I had already watched the first movie by then, and I was always a bit of a fantasy nerd so I guess understanding this and that wasn't very hard. I loved Chamber of Secrets because it had a *SPOILER* basilisk in it, which is a mythical creature that I think is really underrated.
As for reading, generally, I don't like it. But I read each book at least 3 times. I think I read Azkaban 4 times. Now I'm out of space
iamorlin 10 months ago
