If your in NY union square plaza steps this sunday 11 at 3pm exactly be part of the group show for the first unidentifiable art movement the first movement to be defined by nothing. bring your art and be part of the movement
humble chris martin check out this guy joseph eckman he comes from the same school as mr.martin but seems to be able to be portray what mr.martin is unable to attain.
Chris Martin will be in "Soft Edge", alongside Nora Griffin, Peter Acheson, Anna Rosen, Rachel Salamone, and Maria Walker. at Camel Art Space, Brooklyn. Opening December 11th, 2009, running thru the 20th.
It is very impressive when you sense that an artist has really reached his maturity and the point when he can say: "now I think I can paint". This is what we are witnessing here; not that Chris Martin was an immature artist before, but, here, he is better than ever. Much energy in these works.
Chris Martin ... I dig ur talent ;o)... and ur three favorite words... absurd ... Fucked ...up... the idiot who is interviewing you had to correct you ??? No ... he could have been more creative and say oh lets make it your 3 favorite words... his comment was ABSURD and i wish you would've FUCKED him UP... sincerely ... xo MiSS OLiViA ox
Hey James, is the painting on the floor (1:44 lower-left, sitting in the corner like a ugly stepchild in timeout) Chris's homage to Thornton Willis? If so, you need to expedite immediate ergot/psilocybin abuse counseling;)
i want to add cd roms and holographic paper to my paintings i love bright colors and i make kaleidoscopes id fit in in new york but will probably al;ways stay in seattle area im 48 been here forever all my life i want out to show my art need someone interested in my work love gina
Grimace at the term "pathetic art." What does he do for light and ventilation? Survival and reproduction with a decade and a half of black and whites, Yale, do we smell a trust fund here? You two are brave. The NYC art world looks like a scratch game from my prarie. The Einstein/King coif Googletruth appears accurate. Enjoyed, awed. Thanks.
i don't know mr. martin, but i do live and work in nyc, the 'trust fund' is bothersome. some of us make it here by working very hard, one job, two jobs, while making art in our spare time. it's a tough road, but there are alot of tough people here competing for a small prize; give mr. martin some credit for surviving! :)
You three are brave. People scratching dominate the planet. There are, at least I've seen, those who make a version of art as hobbyists and submit their work as membership dues to the club. To make this less personal, perhaps you'll agree that not everything published is literature. Visit the WalMart book rack.
Chris Worked for many years as an art therapist at Rivington House, a hospice for people with aids. There were also times when we both wished the trust fund thing was happening.
