@RottenRaindrops I think it wouldn't make any sense if Sonata had covered exactly the original song playing way. Cause it's not satisfying at all for artists to make a copycat of a song. And they've just reached their purpose : to give an other sense of that song. Just a personal view of course ;-)

@MetalAge19 Its something different than original version but you can't call it crap. Scorpion's song was a calm ballad with gently melody. Sonata's version have much more power and passion. Its other side of love, more inspiring and passionate. And in my honest opinion this version is much better, I feel it much stronger than original song. You can't say something is useless and trash just because you don't feel it. (;

@MrsCzarnaDemolka Lol, this is like comparing two different genres of music, which is impossible, this is power metal song and scorpions` version is a pure ballade, two different types, and i do feel the power and the speed but there are milion power metal songs like this, ,,I want out" for example, its similar...gotta be mad if you are emotionaly connected to this more than you are to the original version...the original is HEART TOUCHING, there is no ingenuity in SPEED and power...trust me..

@MetalAge19 Covers *shouldn't* be duplicates of the same song. If an artist does a cover and its the exact same thing minus minor tweaks, then the original artist shouldn't have done the song in the first place. Sonata took the song and added power to it to give it a sort of "time is running out" desperation that is not present in the original, among other things. I'm not saying one is better- they are two different takes on the song, both powerful and touching in their own rights.

And yes you can compare two, even different genres of music. its what happening all the time around the world. I have a lot of respect for Scorpions for what they done but original version of 'Still loving you' just isn't really touching for me. Its beautifull, its classic but if man would sing it for me in original version I wouldn't be so moved as if he sing sonata's version.
