  • i believe he used to be a supporter of peta, i know he doesnt eat meat.

  • THE INTERVIEW DOES NOT ALLOW THE S/WRITERS TO FINISH THEIR TAWTS HE IS ALWAYS BREAKING EM AND SOMETIMES THEY ARE IN THE MIDST OF AN INTERESTING CHAIN OF TAWT....

  • @richiedrenz

You're right! Blasphemy of this proportion calls for... ALL CAPS!

  • Shut up, De Luca! Let him talk!

  • Love this guy's work. Anyone have a line on his script for 'Beached'?

  • He had written five scripts before the first one was produced - wow, I am really impressed. Most people write a dozen, if not more, since the first one is worth reading it (let alone producing).

The interview is really funny and some lines like "we grew up in the same house" are hilarious. I didn't even know this guy and now I am a fan.

  • Funny and inspiring interview with Ted!

  • interviewer needs to shut the fuck up and stop interrupting. let the man talk!

  • great interview, thanks for posting!

  • I found it interesting at 09:00, when he talks about discovering the Real plot for himself at around page 100...

I suppose that when you're that far in, the characters will often start telling the story to the writer.

Thats a little spooky too dont you think?

    Mmm...So do I..

  • I never thought I'd be so pleased to see another man completely reveal himself!!!

You can use that line if you wish, I can come up with them all day!! FADE OUT.

  • the line is not original. It's been said in a number of films before. Watch what seeps into your subconscious. Regurgitation is not originality.

  • What films?

    Example please!

  • At 6:50-- A jab at Ocean's Twelve???

  • yeah, pretty good. I do think there are intuitive writers who then have a mountain of editing and risk a meandering patchwork script (one is not always the same person when one sits to write a day or week later) and those who start with a rough synopsis and then refine it before writing to it.

  • Great video. He really goes into detail (for a screenwriter), usually they don't.
