Out of interest, I'm trying to get used to my Wacom tablet after being a more traditional drawer. I guess I'm having 'trouble' cause I have my pad at the side like a mouse mat and I should move it right in front of the monitor? Not sure if resting the bottom edge on my lap and resting the back against the table edge helps at all?

@knighthero52 it's a really good way to start off with something if you don't have a full idea yet. It's more just 'winging it', and if you do have an idea of what you want something to look like it helps just flesh it out more. Then again it varies from artist to artist for what they really use it for.

Damn, good job he looks sick. I cant use my tablet for crap, I'm a great drawer when it comes to pencil but not tablet, and i want to get into concept art so bad. I have a Tooya Pro tablet and uses PhotoShop Elements, any tips?

i would recommend a wacom tablet bcoz i had some shitty tablet before and was hard to use but the wacom i can draw as if it was pencil

Gimp, Open Canvas, SAI, Photoshop Elements.. those are good, cheap programs for painting.
