I have CBR600RR too and I dont recommend this to a beginner. I've been riding for 15 years and I went from a crusier to sportbike and let me tell you...its a completely different type of experience. Beginners should learn the fundamentals on a smaller bike otherwise you may never want to get on another bike again because riding a sport bike for the first time can scare you away...seen it happen before.
@XSpyderxXx i wasn't trying to compare this bike to other classes. i was saying as far as a sports bike goes this would be good for a beginner. Or at least i think so since it is my first bike and i think it was the best choose of sports bike i could have made.
@MastaReapa just suggesting the fact that this sportbike is actually in the super bike category which means faster throttle response which can be scary for a beginner but its cool you feel comfortable on it.
If you're looking at a sport bike then being a little scared of fooling around with the throttle could be a good thing. If you just take it down your street and keep it close to home, keep it slow giving yourself time to get used to the bike. Then you "could" make this bike a good beginner bike. Still, it's a racing bike so it's meant to go fast and it has a TON of power. Not the most recommended bike for a beginner but, ride safe and don't do stupid crap. You could work it in for a starter.
You seriously recommend this bike for a beginner? i mean, i dont have any bike experience, but i always read this kind of sport bike is too sensitive for an amateur...
@xtryker1 Other then my bike i have only been on two others (08 R6S and a 06 GSXR1000) and i think that the cbr is just way better in handling and maneuvering...great center of balance and come with HESD
You should bring the CBR 150R And 125R models to america! They are both great starter bikes, and they are both considered mopeds here. Which means 15 and 16 year olds can ride a real sport bike that has real sport bike power, gears, and rpm, instead of some ugly CVT mopeds.

holy crap dude this bike can hit 17,000 rpms thats nuts my friend just got one for like 3000 and that thing has power. he let me drive it and im only 14 and i was one gravel. but nice bike thats all
@spitball301 im 5'10" and my feet touch the ground just about perfect...i would recommend this bike as a first because it is very stable! well balanced all around.
@DrAvEnIsAwEsOmE you and me are pretty much the same size (im about 5'9) and it just feels perfect! feet touch the ground just right and its well center of gravity makes it real nice when trying to wheelie ;)
Wow, you are lucky, man! I LOVE the Pearl Orange. I'm in the same boat as the other guys here. Want one BAD, but don't have the money, & it will be a long time before I do. All I can do is watch the sweet videos you guys post & daydream. To make matters worse, my local dealer has a brand new '08 Pearl Orange (0 MILES!!) going for $9,000!!!
It sounds like you love your bike, as would I if I were in your place. That is one sweet ride you have. Enjoy it, be smart, ride safe!
