i love this game, and once you do story mode just a little bit you unlock the yotsuba group for free, and if you get enough apples you get mikami near and mello, oh and of course neo light. and after beating this game all the way through without knowing japanese i am going to beat the other two as well

@DeathNoteL1992 Well, Death Note had some bad reception outside Japan. A kid was arrested in the U.S. for having a notebook that was made to look like a Death Note, and they banned everything related to Death Note in some Chinese schools.

Of course, that only applies to Death Note games... Maybe Nintendo is just getting super-lazy and doesn't want to do versions in other languages... I wouldn't be surprised <_<

The objective changes, depending on the perspective of who you play.

If your L, you need to figure out who Kira is, so that he can be arrested.

If your Kira, you need to figure out who L is, and kill him/her.

this particular game was released in February 15, 2007. It's 2 years old now. If they were gonna send it into the U.S., they would have done so already.

The most recent game based on the series was released in February 7, 2008, so if they're releasing any of these in the U.S....well, it's already been a long wait, so I'm not holding my breath.

Still, I tried it on an emulator. You don't need to know Japanese, I've won every time so far XD.

Well they just finished up the english version of DN on adult swim, so i wouldn't doubt that they're planning to translate it sometime this year or next.

It's easy you choose either L or Kira observe and tell your theory if you are right you win if you are wrong its the other sides turn to find out who you are.

Alright. For you people that dont know what the game is about... this is what it is about. You are either Light or Ryuuga. When you use Light, you try to convince others that you are not Kira. When you are someone else you try to prove that Light is Kira. You go around questioning people to find out.

....Hmmm....I'm only guessing...But, I think this game is about reading and selecting the right options...If you're Kira, you must frame someone and don't make anyone suspect you're Kira, by making allies, there are rounds too, at the end, you vote with the other people to find out who they think they are Kira...And since you're Kira, you can choose a person to kill at the end of the round...
