I owuld love to see some 125 grain 7.62x39 for comparison, who knows, the lighter weight may actually cause it to dump MORE energy into the block than even the mighty .308 (still cant expect it to reach the range, accuracy and barrier penetration or the .308 though)
you guys need to do a 7.62x54r from a mosin nagant... it woult only cost like 100 bucks fer a cheap one with a 20 rnd box of surplus.... like if you agree
@hammerogod yeah actually about 40-70% of gunshot victims do survive if given immediate medic assistance depending on shot placement the power of the caliber projectile construction and so on...
@tubevideoguy762 Have any data to support that? I don't believe anyone could take this round center mass and survive... unless they were wearing a vest/plate or took an accidental hit at extremely long range.
@drewbehr yes simply look up confirmed military accounts of people hit several times in the torso with an m14 and keep fighting for at least 4 more hours in the iraq war insurgents have been hit by the .50 bmg and after being taken to the us army field hospital they were able to preform life saving surgery as far as i know that individual is still alive today in prison
@tubevideoguy762 military ammo is full metal jacket, which doesn't do nearly as much damage as the Federal 150gr Fusion JSP (Jacketed Soft Point) which is being tested in this video and is a hunting round designed to deliver maximum stopping power so that it drops the target dead in it's tracks which is usually the result of being hit by 1. Full metal jackets usually pass through cleanly or break up into smaller fragments, neither of which is very likely to instantly kill.
@tatiminy fragmenting is actually a much better design for fast killing than an expanding bullet.
A bullet that explodes into a bunch of smaller bullets going in all directions in the body is much more devastating than a bullet that stays in one piece that mushrooms. Hunters dont like fragmenting because it ruins meat, but for humans fragmenting is the way to go for fast killing (my opinion of course)
is there anyway you could do a test with the federal fusion 170gr 30-30 round? was thinking about switching from the federal classsic game shok 170gr soft round nose 30-30 to the fusion, but have found little testing videos on this cal, thus far

you should try doing a long range shot to see the effects. it would be drastically different.

...and it kept going. Wonder if a .308 Round Nose or Soft Point would dump more energy into the ballistic gel?

150 Gr bullet moving at 2691 FPS is capable of making a wound so bad that whoever gets hit is out of combat for the rest of the war, if they survive.
.308 is one of the few rounds that make a wound that the Doctors can't manage.
I doubt that many people have ever survived being hit by this man-killer.
Maybe a few have but I will bet they never saw combat again.

In the ongoing 9mm vs. .45ACP debate, the undisputed winner is .308
