  • jasså jogger du ?? ;] jeg kommer! D;

  • you can find tofu at japanese shops, there is one near majorstua skole and frognerparken :) it is called japan torget :)

  • What is tofu lol...

  • Old El Paso has just given out CORN TORTILLA in Norway!!

  • Don't worry about it being slippery, it's just how norway is. Norway is on wettest countries in the world, couple that with the cold and you get solid ice covered by a thin layer of water. It takes practice, but you'll get the hang of it : ) I think you have to look real hard to find someone who's more elegant on the ice than the norwegians : )

  • Funny to see an Americans take on my country. I notice the same differences after me living in San Diego. :)

  • We ice-skate on real ice in Norway, so if you want to ice-skate just grab your skates and find a frozen pond.

Also, in Oslo, every winter there is an ice-skating rink made close to the University square which pretty much everyone use during the winter, free of charge ofc.

  • @JTucker3 Yes, but the problem is that it's only during winter months. Do you know if the rink in Oslo is open to the public off-season? We have other rinks here, but the only ones that are allowed to use them off-season are the speed skaters and hockey players :(

  • One three hill on the tv ;D

  • We don't have corn tortillas as long as we shit oil outta our ass :P

  • You can't find corn tortillas?

  • Tofu? Here in Norway? Come on. Tofu is crap over in the states, so why ask for it here.

  • @Moneycaller35 It's not crap, it's good!! And I found some at Meny...thank goodness.

  • @Zemfira25 Soy is very bad for you. It is not a health food. It mimics estrogen and causes a lot of problems for men and women alike. You can make your own corn tortillas. Trust me, I am having troubles myself living in Israel and not being able to find anything. There are no wal-marts oh gosh. =( Look for a flat iron and use it as a curling iron by twirling it. You can also look for dual voltage traveling iron on Amazon that works for 220v. Be careful of transformers, they will ruin appliance.

  • i lol'd

  • This is all very inaccurate, I would advice any american against coming to Norway.

  • @ggfsaf On what grounds?

  • @ggfsaf got to agree with you.

  • Elastic bands to thread on your shoes with metal spikes on the soles is something you can buy in hardware shops, grocery shops, sporting goods shops, pharmacies, lot's of places. With those on you will not slip on the ice.: )

  • hvis du bare finner engelske/amerikanske Tv-programmer så burde du kanskje å slå på Norske kanaler som Feks; Nrk, Tv2 Nrk2 Nrk3 osv der er det nesten bare norske tv-programmer

  • i meant before the 5 sorry, but you get it.

  • they got ones for runners. to make the conversion easier, use kr to £'s to $'s. like 25kr = add a decimal place after the 5 then add 10pence. so it ='s £2.50 + 10p and since the £ is always almost double the dollar, 25kr=$4.00 approx. see. EASY! and for your tv shows, watch online at watch-series-online (just google it). :-)

  • Finner du Tofu i Meny...også maistortilla. girl you can find some tofu in Meny. shit was hidden all in the back and stuff. Try Meny grønland. also, all them shops there in Grønland gots tofu. and there is an azn store like right down from the junkie park..in between junkie park and gunerius. Also, get you some shoe spikes. they got them at the apotek. so you can jog. they got all diffrent ones, just ask.......and also...

  • we skate on real ice.

  • @MerryLore yeah most of the TV is in english that's where i learnt most of my english. i'm 14 years old and I speak english almost as good as a normal person from England/America

  • Hehe, We have ALOT of ice... You just have to wait for winter ;) And I hope you enjoy some more typical norwegian food soon too :-)

  • Tommel opp hvis du er fra Norge :)

  • @zViiPeZHD nei

  • @zViiPeZHD LOL!!!

  • ZZZzzzzZZZZzzzz

  • what a great start to this video:D

  • I'm British and liked norway as much as i liked Kansas (in America for thoose who don't know) both equally great places to live!!!

  • @CANVECVIDEO You seriously liked Kansas, man? Haha. It's soooo flat. I'm from New England and only drove through Kansas but it looked unbearably drab.

  • i think we have ice skating a arena in bergen if you live there :P

  • watching One tree hill on the TV? I'm lé good :D Btw in the winter you should try jogging in the forrest, no ice. And if there isn't any forrest around where you live, you have to take a walk, because there is always forrest.

  • Hi ..i just found your video..i find that very interesting because i also from move to Norway from America. I am RI. I have the same problem to find a over 1 inch curly iron..i bought one from the state when i went back for visit but it doesn't work that good since i need an adaptor for it..it keep on and off. Hey try to go to the Asian store, there you have big chance to find the tofu..my Asian store only can buy the tofu from Thailand..but i am Chinese so it's not really for me.

  • hahaha...you are too cute! :D LOVE it when it look like you are depressing cuz' we don't have this and that here in norway, you get this qute face then :) :P

  • Cool video. Its always interesting to hear what expats think about Norway. Thank you very much for your view.

  • fun to hear american's thoughts about Norway, when it comes to small details. can you speak any norwegian?

  • aye, we dont have those tortillas here, cus it makes you effin fat

  • Yay for being able to use all your appliances!! *woot woot woot*

Glad to see you are doing well Zemfy! =)

  • nice to find out more of how your settling in , mochi looks very settled hehe :o)

  • Damn, gurl gots um moves! You should be able to do the ice waddle in no time. It's so interesting to hear about the strange differences between here and there I never would have imagined. It's like a whole adventure for you. Good luck!

  • @heyjkuhl Man, I love that song!!! I'm seriously going to put my skates on and spin on my front walk way...it's frozen!! Thank you J!!!

  • I was gonna reccommend amazon for corn tortillas but $50 for shipping?! Screw that. D: I hope you find some good, local ones soon!!! D:

  • @raikougal I know, it's ridiculous!! I just might end up trying to make them on my own...and start a tortilla shop or something :/

  • @Zemfira25 Do you have a tortilla press? I hear that makes things easier. Although I guess a rolling pin would do too... ^_^

  • @raikougal No :( But if I would have known we didn't have real corn tortillas here, I would have brought one...no matter how heavy it was. Oh well, better to have retarded looking tortillas than none :/

  • @Zemfira25 If you could find one of those pasta presses over there you could probably have the desired flatness... if not the desired shape... square tortillas anyone?

  • Welcome to the world - outside of the USA!!! ha ha ha It's virtually impossible to find inch curling irons here in stores!!! 90% of our TV programmes are from the US also. Can you show us some currency?? Would love to see what it looks like! :D xxx

  • @AussieCoolGurl That's crazy, right?? But living here makes up for the losses...big time! I'll definitely show you the mulah!!

  • Love this, you should do more! Thanks for sharing, Mary

  • @shopalotmary I am!!

  • You should start a Mexican restaurant there.... People would be like... "what IS this?? This is delicious!!". I see your videos don't look like they were shot in a cave anymore. Great lighting.

Love the dancing... do more of that. ;-)

  • @javadude54 LOL!!! I"m seriously thinking of filling that gap...but I must learn Norwegian first :) I love the lighting in here! I'm a goofy dancer, but I love the funky music!!

  • We luckily do have corn tortillas here! We have flour tortillas too but they are awful, good thing my mom knows how to make good flour tortillas.

  • @iLikedYourVideoALot Really?? That's awesome...I'm seriously going to try to make them Manny; but I don't think I'll find that tortilla squeezer thing my family uses. You know that heavy one? I guess a pin will have to do :/

  • TV is in English? Never expected that! It's very slick here in the winter as well and people don't walk or jog very much then. We don't have Tofu, either. Or ice skating rinks.

  • @MerryLore Go figure!!! But yes, most of the TV here is in English; strange ways :)

  • @Zemfira25

I know right ;D That's probably why i'm so good at english. Btw it's like that becauswe norwegian TV shows suck :D

  • @MerryLore Norwegians have learned the american accent by watching american TV.. In school we learn british
