La escuche a tu lado y no te olvido han pasado algunos años y sigues presente en mi vida, aunque no estas ya desde entonces con nosotros son los magicos momentos que hacen dulce la vida!
..Im into Guetta, Ferry Corsten and Tiesto but when its all going down I´ve join the collection of Bread, England Dan & John Ford Coley, Bob Welch...these awesome 70ties....!!
I was 16 years old in 1977 and I remember this song well. As a young teen male what caught my attention other than the song itself (which is beautiful) was the Album Cover with the attractive leggy woman! I miss the 70's my favorite decade for music and movies....
This supposedly was written in 1972 but he did it for this album which was 1977. But it sounds like a 1972 recording. So hell, who knows WHEN it was done? LOL!
@tall32guy He originally recorded it with Fleetwood Mac,then re-recorded it a few years later when he went solo. This is his solo version, that is the reason for the time gap.
but there is such a thing as a time machine its called -your memories-and you can go anywhere you want at any givin time, the key can be a song,a smell of perfume,or anyting you want ,but those 70`s were special times indeed, the music reflects that.
This takes me back to the late 70s. I was four or five years old - riding in a car with my pretty, quintessentially seventies, teenage sisters with their long hair flowing in the wind.
I sure wish that time machine DID exist. I'd volunteer to be the first human test subject, with two conditions. 1.) I would be 19 again physically 2.) I would know everything I know now. That's two tough orders to fill, but it would make the prize well worth the risk.
My wife of twenty years left me for a richer guy and we first met at a single bar while this song was playing. Even though we don't talk anymore, my broken heart still loves her...
@xvoy2002: The wondering is painful, isn't it? All the "could've. would've, should've beens" that will never be. Kids who were never born, vacations never taken, joy and sadness never experienced together. For almost 40 years these images have haunted me and made much of my life unbearable. "14 joys and a will to be merry." I guess I just don't have that will anymore. I'm a sentimental, romantic person, and the past just never lets go.
@Irishtupperware Second chances are such a rare thing in this life. Without one second's hesitation, I would gladly give up every material possession I have for a second chance with my dreamgirl. I can't imagine how you must feel to have been given that magical second chance and have it slip through your fingers.
The "sentimental, gentle wind," that goes "blowing through my life again," and again, and again endlessly is the same beautiful, angelic, perfect girl I walked away from nearly 39 years ago as a stupid 20-year old. I have never stopped paying the price for that horrible mistake. I suppose that the endless pain I have felt for nearly four decades is a just penalty for my arrogance. This lovely song has NEVER failed to bring tears and left me wishing that someone would invent a time machine.
I agree completely with owen1967. When your heart is broken and aches with a near-physical pain, the sad, romantic ballads of the '70s are the only thing that you can stand listening to. They capture exactly what you're feeling...but there's a price to be paid. Once the tears start, they just don't stop. Believe me...I speak from long years of experience. I've been there too many time to count.
Talent of the highest order. The 70's overflowed with it. Only to be sucked dry by the time the late 80's rolled around.
The glory is gone now my friends. If you missed the 70's? You have been deprived. The crap sold as music nowadays is nothing more than gutter trash. The progressives have you by the puppet strings.....
I tell you what. The 70's had the best sad romantic songs ever. If you ever break up with a woman just listening to these 70's classic would make any grown man cry like a baby lol
@owen1967 That's really a really sweet thought. I grew up with all of these songs in the 70's. You don't hear simple love songs like these anymore. Well, there might be a few.
@owen1967 lol you got a point - so when I finally said "enough with the tears" in the 90's I started relying on "bitches is hoes" music to climb out of a heartbreak. Now I know a lot of people don't like that type of music but alot of those women we're crying over to 70's music were hoes when we fell in love with them and the 90's gave us perspective if you we're willing to recognize the fact lol but if we just wanna cry about it there's nothing like the 70's.... truly said Owen
@MoveMakerTV I think that's why all types of music are needed. I too have found some of those 90's classic's inspirational "enough with the tears" songs...such as on Dre's 1st album, last track. No better song then that if you ask me.
@owen1967 Maaaan! well I see there's nothing new I can tell you about it!!! lol ... I appreciate the range of music you obviously have too man, that's cool as hell lol You sound like a few friends I have - we can start out playin Sting, 10 minutes later somehow we're playin Jimmy Buffet, by quarter til its Jimmy Hendrix, Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, Earth,Wing and Fire, Jay-Z , and maybe end the night with Frank Sinatra lol... it's crazy...I'm really into deep house these days - music fanatics lol
@MoveMaker TV Thats how we roll. I'm gonna add you too my friends list for that last statement. People have to stick together and if only more of the kids nowadays would do the same maybe this world would be a better place. Of the top here we go Johnny Cash, South Circle, The Sex Pistols, Cabaret Voltaire, Earth Wind and Fire, Nightmares On Wax, Lee Scratch Perry...I don't meet many people that get it you know the point is music, all music, all day music, till ya die music lol
@owen1967 Well thanks man - I already accepted it and subscribed back - yeah music can definitely bring people together - and deep house, chillout and lounge are my "zone" music - I used to live on Miami Beach and it's just playing everywhere and it's a great association. Now I live 50 miles south of Cleveland and you can't find it ANYWHERE! lol well anywhere it's good to "meet" (lol) ya bruh I'll be checking your channel regularly - you have some cool stuff on there - I'm Louis btw
only 19 but damn do i love classical old music like this(to me its classical cause i was born in the early 90s lol) Just can't make music like they use to..awesome song!
This song takes me back ,it really takes me back , to the year 1977 when i was only 10 years old , when i hear this this songs it puts me back in my fifth grade classroom and brings back that old time feeling causing me to remember just what it felt like to be there and in my mind im actually there ,that's what this song does to me.
Reminds me of growing up. I was a kid when I first heard this on AM radio, yes kids, I said AM radio! Back in the day, all the good stuff was on AM. This was the time. No war, no hate, no terrorism, just good times, good weed, and great friends. Sing on Bob Welch...sing on.
Music will never have this trouble free care free smooth romantic vibe ever again. I remember this song growing up. 36 now and it so takes be back to wonderful times
I LOVE IT...i love it..esp being a black man born in the 60's and growin up listening to The 5th Deminsions, The Tempts, The Tops, Chi-lites, Curtis Mayfeild, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Parliament/Funkadelics, Stevie Wonder, Isley Brothers,Sly Stone, Commadores, EWF, Sylvester, The Beatles, The Bee-Gees, The Stones and Queen jus to name a few..but (MY ALL TIME SONGS) in this exact order, Sentimental lady, someone saved my life tonight, i dont know much, annies song and my love...i want to go back...
Bob has his own radio program and it's free. That's one of the many things I like about Bob. And to answer your question "seahound619" this was April 1977 and his album was maybe the #1 album 'koz it had "Ebony Eyes" and this song. You should see him on Cal Jam 2 (March 1978). He's onstage with Stevie Nicks and Stevie is smiling at Bob from accross the stage!!
I love this song. It reminds me of summer 1979. I'm in 6th grade playing softball and catching a pop fly in left field. it felt like forever waiting to catch the ball, knowing if i missed, i would get beat up. Those were the days.
it don't matter if grown ups brought you here, cause at least your here now, so just CRANK IT UP and grab that someone special and enjoy the moment and let the rest take care of its self :)
catherine..if you ever see this...i love you..thank you for puttin up with my being=inna band shit..i do love you..been with you thru horrible shit...your drummer..DARREN WILSON..oh yeah..I LOVE SYD TOO...DARREN
... i was born in the wrong decade. 70s is the shit. Definitely has the best feel. I can thank my parents for that one. Tired of hearing rap and hip hop "music" all over the place. Its sad to me that people can enjoy that when there is real music like this. Im 19 and have loved this music since i was a boy, and that will never change. This music that impacted me in such a way will stay with me forever and hopefully my kids too. influenced me to make music, its my dream to become a pro musician
@ArchxEnemy666 i wish i could have a been born in 1950 so i could be a teenager through the 60s and an adult in the 70s...im sure life would have been a lil better....
@TDking09 Well, I was born in the late 50's and I can tell you that the riots, protest, threat of nuclear annialation, duck and cover, the assasanations of great people, through all of that, YES, it was a glorious time. That is if you were a white male. If you were a minority, it was hell on Earth.
@saganhill im half white and half mexican...i look white tho..idk what it would have been like. i just would have liked to have been around for the music and how the way books and movies made life in high school look
@TDking09 YOu are right, it was a glorious time. Lots of musical experimentation. Lots of artistic experimentation also. I miss the late 60's and early 70's the best. It was cheap to live, gas was 40cents agallon, you could cruise all night on 5 bucks of gas. THe late 70's was evrything started to go downhill to were we are now IMHO.
if there is only one song to play by Bob Welch this is it, its before my time but i was brought up with the love of music(thank you mom!). Music today that is played on the raido is @#$%, but for you guys out there that are willing to dig around and find music that still has heart and a life of its own, it is still out there.. names of the bands might be a little off "death cab for cutie" comes to mind but music like this is still live and kicking

I love this song. It reminds me of summer 1979. I'm in 6th grade playing softball and catching a pop fly in left field. it felt like forever waiting to catch the ball, knowing if i missed, i would get beat up. Those were the days.

Am I the only person that likes the original version more? I like this version, it just sounds a little too commercial.

... i was born in the wrong decade.

TDking09 7 months ago
@TDking09 Well, I was born in the late 50's and I can tell you that the riots, protest, threat of nuclear annialation, duck and cover, the assasanations of great people, through all of that, YES, it was a glorious time. That is if you were a white male. If you were a minority, it was hell on Earth.
saganhill 7 months ago
@saganhill im half white and half mexican...i look white tho..idk what it would have been like. i just would have liked to have been around for the music and how the way books and movies made life in high school look
TDking09 7 months ago
@TDking09 YOu are right, it was a glorious time. Lots of musical experimentation. Lots of artistic experimentation also. I miss the late 60's and early 70's the best. It was cheap to live, gas was 40cents agallon, you could cruise all night on 5 bucks of gas. THe late 70's was evrything started to go downhill to were we are now IMHO.
saganhill 7 months ago
my dad told me growing up in the 50's as a teenager was the best time of his life.

if there is only one song to play by Bob Welch this is it, its before my time but i was brought up with the love of music(thank you mom!). Music today that is played on the raido is @#$%, but for you guys out there that are willing to dig around and find music that still has heart and a life of its own, it is still out there.. names of the bands might be a little off "death cab for cutie" comes to mind but music like this is still live and kicking
