@Sebtastical I don't mean to diss you or anything but i think that in terms of science fiction and all that intensity goes, final fantasy will never come close to mass effect. The whole japanese thing and all is too corny for me personally. Guys acting like women with blond hair and crap. And the story is not that awe or inspiring either. And the combat system is overly annoying. You touch some bastard and you get locked into combat. Lob of bullshit to me. Mass effect is simply uncomparable.

The Whole JRPG Style is fascinating, and japanese game designers have without a doubt, the best game making skills in all of the industry. So coming up with excuses like saying that characters look gay or whatever. Enjoy the amazing artistic part of what japanese games have offered us =) after all, It was japan that started it all =)

@gyrotuffjonykirby this is a late response. But yes. it was the japanese that started it all. but others found ways to make it better with advanced dialogue systems as well as combat systems. The japs made turn by turn based combat gaming because inventing creative AIs that actually fought in real time battles were extremely hard to construct back then. It isnt like that anymore and as many said, "Turn by turn games are getting out dated." which is quite true. FF13 wasnt that bad. I'd give 8.0

Uhm... Let me hear you spell "Bayonetta"... The 360 bersion runs better. The load times are faster, and you don't have to wait 5-6 seconds for the pause screen to appear after you pressed start on the 360 version.

Also, the Orange Box? The PS3 had worse looking graphics, the gameplay and overall framerate was slower.

i've got a copy of it myself. the only strange thing i've noticed is that sometimes, people's voices sound really deep for a second or two during battle. They will sound normal one second, then have a voice like a demon the next.

oh, also, sometimes the asari's faces are a bit strange. Their right eye is a bit squinted. Like their eye is twitchy.

Shepard (the guy you play as) has a transparent barrier protecting him always, so yeah, you lean back a bit when you get hit by a rocket launcher, It stays that way until you get hit enough times and your shield strength depletes, THEN you get blown to pieces by a rocket.

Just like everyone else, I am very excited about this game. Playing through Dragon Age, I found that the same hand movements and such were used in almost every convo.
