But i think this animation was misidentified ... coz the end result is the famous Helix Nebula. That is not what happens in the end of a supernova (should be a black hole or a neutron star). A nebula is what happens to a star like our sun.

Ps. but this fireworks blast is kinda beautiful anyway lol

All chemical elements (except hydrogen and some helium) were formed in the interior of stars by Stellar nucleosynthesis... and at the end of the life of some particular type of stars, the supernova explosion spread all elements across the Universe... which means.. that the atoms of our bodies are literally... ashes of stars... so.. It´s just Marvelous! :)

a black hole only forms when a supermassive star collapses under it's own pressure (much like a supernova) but instead continuing to fly apart, the massive density of the star would collapse even further, forming the black hole.

It's a planetary nebula which doesn't explode. When the star , like our sun empties it's "chamber" of hydrogen (fuel) the core can't hold on to the layers any more so the layers starts to slowly flow out in space. This makes in some cases, like this one a "bubble" around the remaining star which we call a white dwarf and is destoned to die a painful death or, it will eventually extinguish. This is the short version though.

That 'eye' raly exists, Hubble has taken pics of it. Just google 'helix nebula'. some call it the 'Eye of God', but it's just our point of view and the large scale that makes it seem as an eye. It's in fact a large tunnelshaped amount of gass from a dying star. If you could live some 5 billions years, you might see the same process happining with our sun.
