Hi there, I have a question. I downloaded the Xtreme FX mod and the Chaos 7 mod. Which .pak file contains weapon damage? I love the graphics and the particle effects, but the bullets do so much damage now - a single mgun or 2 pistol rounds is enough to cut down a tree, which I find strange. So when the AI is shooting through the trees the entire forest comes crashing down....

Is this due to the chaos 7 particle mod file?

I'd say Just get the Fastest thing you can afford, thats all you can do right?

Faster is always better.

You would need one Killer Laptop, people have enough trouble running it on a Desktop.

i7? for what? there is no relevant gape between i5 and i7 for better gaming experience, since the only accountable point i7 got and i5 not is the possibility of 8 simulated virtual cores instead of the 4 real ones... what nobody needs in games.

I finally got my pc yesterday

I'm now running very high spec (exept terrain wich is on high)

And 16xQAA(wich oddley does almost nothing to performance(35 fps instead of 40)

But i have a problem ,i'm running on a 1920x1080 monitor but the highest res ingame is 16.. X1050?????

And when i force it to start up in 1920x1080 i have a weird stutter(still getting around 30 fps)

I really hope you know what to do:(

No thank you :) I was already plannimg to go to 3,6 ghz or even higher Does this particles mod of you also improve the normal graphics (water shadows etc) And what kind of fps Do you think i can puul out of my system ? Hmmm, Hard to say, I'd say if you OC you'll have a Very Good running system , Not sure about 19x10 though, thats pretty High for 1= 470.

You won't be Bottle Necked anyway thats for sure.

Yea, They are in the Libs\particle folder.

You can edit them in the editor or in the XML's, I find it handy to use both.

You need to Edit the XML Files. in the pak files.

@hybrid1221 You need to put " -devmode" on the end of the target in the icon properties. Than you go into the game and bring up the command prompt which you get when you press the button above the tab button. Than you enter "i_unlimitedammo=1" and that's it. Do all of it without the quotations.

@hybrid1221 No prob! Oh and if you press the "1" key on the number pad you are given the alien moac, a SCAR, Missile Launcher, and shotgun. It gives you new ammo everytime. Oh and to enter god mode enter g_godMode=1. And if you press 1 and 2 above the keyboard you can fly around the map!

Even clocked at 3.6? My ASIs mono has options of 5% 10% 15% and 20%. It's helpful cuz I'm not good with the voltages and all that. Just click on one and there u go. It's overclocked.

Thats ok, The E8400 is Easy to OC, I just changed the FSB from 1333 to 1600 or 1666 and thats it, no volt tweaks.

how are u recording with no lag? what are ur specs. mine is GTX 260 core 216 Superclocked, core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3 ghz, 4 Gb ram, win7 32bit. i cant even record a low graphics game like mw2 withought getting shitty frames recording at different resolutions. 1680x1050, 1024x768, and even super low at 800x600. but who wants to play at that. any tips? i will be upgrading my GPU to GTX460 and im gunnna overclock that.

I use a Custom System.cfg, that makes the physics not as Precise.

That way its easier on the CPU, and I use a Q9650@3.75GHz so my Fraps is Not using up cores for Crysis.

Yes it is, I had an E8400 for 2 years. Had it at every GHz you can thing of, from 800MHz to 4.5GHz, Can't beat my Q9650, and Especially at 3.75GHz.

Nah, It didn't kill my E8400, Since Crysis technically only uses 2 cores anyway.

It's really not that bad, if you don't want that many effects you can keep my looks and reduce the number of particles with settings.

i downloaded this mod and its cool even though my laptop can just run on minimum since it has an hd 3200 but thats beside tha point. i found a glitch and the wheels on the trucks like the common jeep ones disapear. when i shoot them they reappear so they do exist and they can drive fine but it just looks really stupid.

@z0nt21 - your trying to record 1080p...and probably with sound... which only makes the files even bigger! here...he's used 720p... without sound... so if its real time that will have helped keep the files sizes down a little...

unless he recorded 1080p w/ sound then edited it and compressed it to 720p... either way with his mod included it looks awsome!
