  • uses that much gas that it needs it's own tank car?

  • Looks like it has its own fuel and plenty of sleeping compartments so it won't need to stop.

  • I'd park my vehicle AWAY but stand closenough so I could get covered.

  • i think it's funny that you put a watermark on the vid...

  • OUTSTANDING SKIP MY MAN

  • do u have to post the same comment every where on every video???

  • NightmareKato; Narrow-gauge rotaries have been around in Colorado since 1890. They have been steam powered except for the few converted to diesel. the more modern ones you speak of have been diesel.

  • Nice video. When I was in Cheyenne this June on a roundhouse tour I got to climb up in the cab.

  • Cool.

  • WHAT IS YOUR SEASONS WINTER OR SPRING

  • spring is warm-RAIN

    winter is cold-SNOW

  • Spring all the way! I hate snow.

  • snow all the way! I hate spring.

  • Good Video!

  • Did UP custom build their own rotary? All the rotary plows I have seen plow at less than a walking speed, this one just chews right through.

  • Its a 1971 EMD

  • Rotaries have been around for quite a few decades. The first ones were during the advent of diesel. And no, Mafarnz. These were constructed during the heavier winters of the 20th century, so they are still in use even today. They saw less use when la nina and el nino became more widespread.

  • Some Phoamers. LOL! Nice video, that looks like some fucking fun.

  • Judging by what we hear isn't it possible that some litigious road user might try to sue UP for emptying snow over their vehicle at a level crossing? Just a thought given that everyone is sh*t scared of litigation at present! Enjoyed the vid anyway, it's a long time since we have had to use a snow plough here in the UK. Leaves, infamously, are another problem though!

  • Some might, but I know this "foamer" and it was his New Years dream come true, to take the snow-shower from the historic old rotary. A RRfans Polar Bear Club event so to say!
