i am actually reading the book. this song was not sung by grace hollaway, it was sung by diane clintock, ryans wife to be and receptionist. they playes it when they all arrived. and i hate to say this, but in the book. i am on lambs side. i was all for ryan in the game, but seeing how stubborn her was to even give homless children a place to live, i switched to lamb. rapture will do no rising while in ryans hands... sorry everyone.. hate on me if you will.

Unless you're guy who has to fix the pipes and scrub the toilets at below minimum wage, barely being able to pay for essentials such as food, rent, and even oxygen.

Rapture has a certain appeal and fascination in it's concept and ideology, but it wil not work long-term because those at the bottom have barely a chance to rise up in this world. Rapture promises freedom, but it's basic nature, it's reliance on heavy infrastructure, blocks people from investing and rising economically.

rapture pretty much destroyed itslef through smugglers bringing in bibles and religous materials, also with fontaine beggining a government through market with the smugglers.

after the important ones lost it and got *adam drunk* on plasmids, the rest of rapture fell into a deep war between smugglers on fontaine *atlas* side and the loyal ones on ryan's side.

It doesn't have to be armageddon sized though. If it's smaller, but still a pretty decent size (and considering that rapture would be further than 60 fathoms under which is nothing) it could be somehow protective.
