Cool, Anthony! I like at 2:50, "It's looking great!" (immediately gives popcorn/coffee maker a concerned- worried look). Great video as always. Miss ya!
This is great Anthony. Very well done and I applaud you making something else other than a juggling video once in a while. Maybe I'll make a juggling video for a change!
@ufo5440 Different schools of thought. But the general consensus from the experts is 2-3 for drip and 3-5 for espresso. It's preference really. The reason you let it sit is to let the coffee degas. I recommend letting it sit for different durations so you know exactly how you like it.
I could smell fresh coffee beans in my mind's eye. .. no, wait.. my mind's.. nose? when you poured the roasted beans out. Cool.. also, great control on the seated 7-MMX ball cascade. Rockin' :)
Man I've done this as well, used a reverse osmosis chamber to hydrogenate the coffee, but it in the popper, then roasted it, didn't turn out well.... But great to see this :)
This is a great idea. I usually just buy pre-roasted beans from a local coffee market, and have only glanced at the unroasted beans since I figured it would be more of a hassle to roast it myself (especially since the roasters I have seen are kind of pricey). Home roasted beans and a French press sound like the way to go! Do you prefer light or dark roasts?
Ahh the conical burr... the best for evenly ground coffee. If I can't have an espresso, I do like the French press as well. We always have the automatic drip for the morning though. On practice days it's a half cup of coffee. If it's not practice day I start out with a cup of drip, then top it off with a tasty espresso to really get the blood going. I don't like to be to amped up on coffee for practice.
Anthony if you want truly good coffee you should make a trip down to Melbourne, Australia. Seriously some of the best coffee in the world. Ive been to Europe and it does not even compare. Saltimbanco will be here in May you should see if they will let you come for a visit with them!
@Btalaga Melbourne? Wow, I would not have thought about it for coffee. I would love to go back to Australia, perhaps one day, now that I know there's good coffee there, even more incentive! What I do like about Europe, is pretty much anywhere you go, you'll get a decent coffee. Even if it's a bar, or a free breakfast at a hotel, they enjoy quality coffee. I think the best I had so far was in Italy, I hope to match it here in my house one day. I am still in the experimental process.
@ator1a1m Yea, It was not one of the things I expected when I moved down here a few years ago. Most starbucks or gloria jeans shut down cause every cafe you go to and ever restaurant has good espresso coffee. If you do come back down this way im sure Earl Shatford would love to go for a cup of coffee with you. I train with him down at NICA, the circus school. I actually had a coffee with him today haha.
@ThomWustl I actually enjoy espresso. I have a fairly decent espresso machine, but will be upgrading to a better one soon. Those suckers are expensive, but if you like something enough, then price shouldn't matter all that much. What about you?
@ator1a1m I've got an awesome Capresso drip machine & conical burr grinder at home - totally worth every penny. When I'm in the mood for something stronger, though, I stick to a moka pot. I'd love (love love love) to find myself a 'real' espresso machine some day... -sigh- :)
@ator1a1m Wow, that's a surprise. You are answering comments!! Maybe I will get lucky and get a response. Do you have a video of a 12 ring flash besides the one posted by herreuler? If so, can you please post it?
Do you lose many beans out the top?

3-5 days to consume the beans for coffee, where did you get that info?? I always heard 24-48 hours, basically 1-2 days.

Hey Anthony! Interesting stuff! What's your preferred method for actually brewing? Are you a drip kind of guy? French press? Moka?
