just because it's not utterly epic or harsh in tone doesn't make them any less metal. bands are only branded with the title of a "Metal band" because they either refuse to produce any song of any other kind of sound, or they can't produce songs of a different sound, because their talents are limited to "Metal". Power Metal bands are usually guilty of similar song stereotypes, but at least they can pull off a hybrid of sound, which means they might be able to do something different if they want.

Or Blotted Science and Animals as Leaders? those are a couple the better instrumental metal bands out there. Not everyone who listens to stuff like this is instantly musically retarded...
