@jazzcool I've been in Kecskemét but with an organized tour so I couldn't detach my self to go narrow gauging! Honestly I've lost many things in Hungary... first of all the tramway museum in Szentendre, a village I've visited too!!!!!! AAAAArgh! But I travelled on Budapest's underground (Yellow line is GREAT) and on trams! I saw many HEV trains but didn't travelled on it. Well so I have another gppd reason to come back to Hungary, a country I liked very much!

The footage of the tractor at 3m50s overtaking the train on the unpaved (=just sand) road parallel to the track is quite tale-telling :(

szegény kicsi vasút... :-( én a másik irányba, Kiskunfélegyháza felé vonatoztam, és onnét vissza Kecskemétre, volt az már 3 éve.

Hi Jazzcool, I would like to ask you. There were plans to stop operation at about 30 regional railway tracks in Hungary with new timetable graphic 2009/2010. How many tracks have stopped operation? Why? What do you think about it? I think it is a pity...

they planned more then 30, and closed 24mostly had only few passengers. But yes, it was a pity...:-(
