I am a musician, but my whole life I have drawn, and built models.
Sacred geometry is one of my passions, along with gothic cathedrals and ancient megalithic structures. Thanks for the inspiration, the sky is the limit!
@taintedcherrytree13 yeap the sexiest job on planet earth, but if you get in, all people inside are competing to get a design job. at the end of the day managers and CEO and business owner have the design jobs and the real architects are being used as technicians!!! be careful with this tough and decisive job!
@cupcakesprinkles3 Still trying to figure this out after five years in the field :)))) There is however one thing I can tell, if you do this for money, better find any other job. There's no way to do it for money and become rich. I think the thing that matters most is to have a job that gets you money to live decently and also be happy with what you are doing.

I've only just made it official that I want to become an architect!
I've been thinking about it for quite some time now, and these videos have helped me so much in making my decision! I've just turned 15, so I'm glad I've watched these videos before it was to late :) thank you so much!!
My dream is to be an architect. But i am not necessarily good a math. I hope this doesn't effect my future for I am only 15. But i am trying my hardest at getting better. My mind is full of many wild ideas. Architecture is my form of art. But I don't usually see math as a form of art. Hence, why I am not good at math. I am too creative to have an interest in math. But I guess I will have to sacrifice my time of creating to the time of math.
Doug, thanks so much for making these videos. I'm astonished at your commitment to cranking these out, as it looks like a lot goes into them. It's great to see that you're influencing a lot of people; clearly you are creative and passionate about your work.
What an interesting concept. Goes to show that we all have various design bubbles bouncing around in our heads. I'm watching the series now and will prob' watch again later. Thanks much for a very engrossing look at the nuts & bolts of architecture.
That is good common sense stuff . The one I beaM UP THE MIDDLE WOULD HAVE TO BE 1/3 AT least to get 12 degrees of safety . I think for practacality this design was shot down. I would of poured a 40 x 10 concrete formed i beam and plated it with stainless armor like overlaping fish scales . a see threw floor in the living room and a turn table ataching the house to the I beam . neon blue lights too. Your design was nice .
