Dudes I know the secret to the real kick I'm just not gonna tell. I got this kick so phat it dwarfs all urs. A simple hint: "No it can not be accomplished with only a DAW"

Btw, i pitch my kicks in ultra beat. Open the empty template in ultra beat. And use the upper one, to load your kick. The next higher note wil automatic pitch your kick! So sample your kick on a low G!

I read alot of crap here! There more ways to make a good kick. Logic is a good program,but it doesnt make a hardstyle kick for you. You can do the same things in fl orf cubase. Get a 909 kick from drumazon, compress it with compressor. Make m 2 bars long.( so your kick won't be to short on higher notes) And bounce it(sample it). Reload your sample and gain it back to a normal level. Eq,dist, compress. Bounce again..on and on till you get it right.. Use autofilter at the end. So your kick will

@HeadhunterzMedia I make my kicks with 8 FX :D I also have a similar method except I use 4 distortions 3 EQ's and shape the wave after the first 2 distortion fx. I love talking music now because a few weeks ago I had no clue, But I'm learning hardstyle very very fast and my sounds are already professional, I got MA-15D's to help me out and loving em :)

I just made a great kick (almost) like this... but i have no idea of how to pitch it... if i import it in ultrabeat at high notes the kick is shorter and it is longer at lower ones. how do i get the same lenght at any note played?

@iamViTtOx If you used fl studio, sample it, import it on sampler on the time know make sure its all the way down and in the drop down list makes sure its monophonic. If you used something else then FL studio. go to youtube and look up nelio's tutorial on how to pitch kicks.

Take some guitar pedals, tune the settings without playing anything, then plug your guitar in and see if that painting told you where the frequencies peak.

Check out all of the professional harddance artists short clips on youtube, they all use Logic Pro which is mac only software. Besides lately the harddance DJ's have been popping up from everywhere. Rich ass basterd kids let their parents buy them mac pc's and hardware and it's not really a miracle that they actually start producing some professional tracks. So, yeah the first generation DJ's that had to develop the style are brilliant, but the rest of them are as stated before. greetz

But he also started with his cracked ohmicide and a shitty ass drumcomputer, and even though he only had some limited software he still made bangers like Aiming for ur brain and the Sacrifice. Da tweekaz doesn't have anything but FL Studio and some software vst's, and their tracks is pretty awesome if you ask me. I'd bet you dont even know what an oscillator is, distortion, filters and eq.

Okay, If you don't have logic pro that uses core audio and has it's powerfull filter, I think that removing the tail is impossible. After a couple of weeks of research I found out that the access virus TI actually let's you shape(cutting) the sound/kick to your own taste from the distorted 909 kick which is integrated in the TI, it is in fact a vst instrument. Thus it doesn't matter what kind of DAW you work with, without the hardware no kick and without the kick amateur tracks. greetz

I disagree FL is a bitsh, it starts crackling when I put on 16+ Fx, though the interface is so easy, wish there was a program as powerful as ableton and as easy as FL. So, okay back to the cutting, the thing is his kick sound 10 times better after he tells you "after some cutting and editing", so I'm wondring how to cut it. I've already tried ADSR but that don't work. I'm guessing he let's it run through some cutting device which also should be strategically placed... I run abez

i love both fl n logic pro i have both, but the clip dist in logic is so good for sumthing that comes with it, unlike fl were the dist on that is so hard to get the same efx, not imposabel but harder, but that siad sidechain is a bitch in logic, as were fl jus a few clicks n ur done lol but in the end i think fl n logic pro are both jus as good
