  • japan surley would have fully conquered the philippines where or not there was a single u.s troop there. They were taking every island in there path.

  • this guy below seems to think japans quest for world domination would not have came to philippines door step if there was no u.s. troops in the phils. that is rediculous. once again your fortunate to have had americans shed there blood and spare you from japanese imperial rule.

  • @reaj2010 here in the japanese occupation, almost a million filipinos were killed! we were the ones who shed so much blood. the lives of 14,000 americans that were lost is just a fraction compared to the fil-am war (34,000-1.5 million filipinos killed). it's just right for the americans to pay for the people they owe in life. americans are not as good as you think. in fact, they are more evil than the japs. they are fucking racist imperialists.

  • All you morons that's think this was not right. You would not be free or have a country had the Americans not destroyed the japanese in the phils. You should thank God every day you were liberated then granted independence by America! Or even to this day it would not be Philippines anymore. It would be Japan.

  • @reaj2010 You should not use the word Moron if you dont know what your talking about. The reason why Philippines was invaded because of the American Forces in the Phil. at that time you do not know how we fought our Independence From Spain to the Americans. Read the History.

  • We are grateful that our country has been liberated by the americans.

  • any one got army lists or units of battle troop strengths etc info that is other than wiki

  • Americans! a big black propagandists! everything they did was only for their cause! ther r really good in packaging their country. make it look righteous.. what an asshole

  • @mhfraga09 and whos commie propogada are you listening too, there is alot of filams here enjoying life here, mad they no longer care for your american hating trash?

  • f*ck u 4 what u did

  • Japan was a militarist nation hungry for dominance. She set her sights on her neighbors. Korea and china suffered Japanese atrocities far longer and worse even before December 7/8, 1941. That was part of the main reasons for the american oil and steel embargo. Undaunted and drunk with power, Japan struck the Philippines and Hawaii and the rest of Asia was plunged into a terrible war.

  • When the US Army came in 1944, the great majority of Filipinos welcomed them. This included the Communist-led Hukbalahap guerrillas in Central Luzon.

When Macarthur came to Manila on a sentimental visit in 1961 several hundred thousand Filipinos welcomed him. That's fact. So too were the atrocities committed by the Japanese. An uncle of mine was killed by the Japs and my grandfather was briefly detained in Fort Santiago, all because two cousins of his served with the Philippine Scouts.

  • @ikesuarez1 thank you maybe you can teach real history in the schools over there or generations of these trash talkers that know nothing will come out from everywhere, god save us all.

  • What war was worse for the Philippines?: Japanese invasion of 1941 to 1945, or the war against the United States from 1898 to 1910, were certainly two tragedies, lived by the same people, unfortunately. Regards from Costa Rica in the Central America.

  • @luisdiego29 what war was worse? what are the standards for measurements on these? the fil-american war was terrible. but because Amercians were naive imperialists, the Philippines then had the best public school system in all Asia. It also had the best public health system.

  • China and Korea should have combined forces and devastated Japan in a massive invasion in revenge for brutalization of the poor Filipinos...I'm Chinese, and I know I would have fought to the death besides the Filipinos against the Japanese if I had the chance...I mean, we're all family, right?

  • Well my country philippine is weak bcuz of stupid president

  • @sean13350 No, it's due to barbaric colonizers, a stupid president is just the side effects of it.

  • @sean13350 no...philippine country is not weak....the japanese are defeated in war by the filipinos which is not a regular army......but those who failed in defending the country is the damn regular army.......i know...emilio aguinaldo is behind all of this...he supported them

  • GO KOMUNISTA!1 GO SOVIET UNION...YOUR THE BEST!!

  • DEATH To the BARBARIC JAPANESE!

  • the GOD now claiming japanese what they have done before

  • I am damn happy for this, otherwise I would be speaking Japanese!

  • @warriorlinguist japanese is a nice language lol

  • I like how they used to be called "Japs" back in the good ol' days

  • Nothing..can defeat the force of freedom

  • notice that all of the countries that tried to colonize the Philippines are now 1st class countries... what would happen if they didnt let go of the Philippines, for sure the philippines would be one of the 1st class.

  • ...And then the US government dropped Chuck Norris to destroy Nagasaki.

  • It was the bombardment of the Americans that TOTALLY destroyed Manila!

  • Japanese soldiers went berserk in Manila and the Japanese officers couldn't control them. The soldiers set homes and buildings on fire and shot down those who ran out.

  • US lies,

Everything from Atomic Bomb's aim which they simply just wanted to test nuclear and chose Japan, The pearl harbor incident never happened, they made bunch of lie story of Japan History, Japan is now just being silent of every noises from brainwashed Koreans and Chinese. look "Secret history of Atomic Bomb" for reference.

The 9-11 tragedy is set up by US Govt'.

Setup for an opportunity to invade Afghanistan, and now they're also doing the same style to Iraq.

    Now Russia will give help.

  • @USFullOfLies ok crazy person

  • The americans could had just bypassed the Philippines which at that time was a japanese stronghold and just went straight to nearby japanese islands where they could start their invasion of the japanese mainland which never happened because of the atom bombs. If they bypassed the Philippines the destruction of Manila and the death of thousand Filipino civilians could had been avoided. The japs after being atom bombed twice eventually surrendered.

  • @jamesdigos458 yeAh but it was important to capture back the phillipines

  • @jamesdigos458 James you are speculating or denying the fact that the Philippines were not crying out for Liberation from the Japanese? Ok now lets try this for speculation If Operation Olympia had occured Invasion Japanese Homelands what would have been the Cost to the US and Japanese Civilians? Ok if Germany had not been invaded by the Allies would the war in Europe been completed and destroyed the NAZI's? Think next time ok

  • @jamesdigos458 Yes James Plans were to invade Formsa (Taiwan) by passing the Philippines. However not just Macarthur had said I Shall Return but it was expected by the US Govt and the People of the US to do exactly that. Return to the Philippines

  • @jamesdigos458 James incorrect again. You are looking at the emotive side of this once more. The point being the Philippines had to be recaptured as the US had already made that promise to the Filippinos back in 1942. And do you think European Cities during WW2 were not devastated and destroyed and Civilian Population didn't suffer as a result. Japan had to be stratregically cut off from her supply bases and that included the Philippines

  • @jamesdigos458 Wrong James the Philippines as you pointed out was a Japanese Stronghold and leaving such a base of operations in the Philippine Seas or Pacific Ocean would be a tragic miscalculation. No Military Ideology that I know off contemplates leaving such a large enemy base of operations in or near your supply routes and convoy lines or in striking distance to your own bases. Unfortunately Filippinos paid the price but they were paying that price under occupation by the Japanese

  • my grandfather was part of the Phil Guerilla that time, base camp was FEU and UST., sabi nya parang mani lang daw n pinipili kung sino mag v-volunteer. pag wala ng baril, better luck next tym, or 2 tao isang baril... my grand dad japs story never gets old, lalu na sa bidahan portion sa pamilya...

  • tama lang yan mga potangina nyo japanese

  • Well I have visited Modern day Manila a few times as I have the Philippines. I have read comments that Manila was far more devastated then any city during World War 2. I wonder if any one has seen the videos of European Cities bombed into destruction during World War 2 Or even in World War One were whole towns and cities were destroyed. Unfortunately fighting the Japanese and retaking not only Asia/Pacific Region as well as the Philippines was total war

  • And as it was Total war against the Japanese the retaking of Manila proved to be a tragic historical event for the Philippines. Its easy to sit back 65 years and say OH the Americans caused death and destruction in retaking Manila. But who were the real criminals in this? Were the Americans or was it the Japanese in defense of Manila? Unfortunately in War there is no such thing as a surgical clean war where civilians do not die. Until you understand this concept you will not understand WAR

  • @nakajima21 wla nga tayong sariling Army nung panahaon na yun. kung meron man wlang baril, kung meron man 4-8 sa isang platoon. ano yun hiram hiraman. isa pa Japanese is allied to German and Italy which are the powerful countries at that time, they can ask aid or help to seize manila from Americans. Read history !!!

  • All those beautiful buildings!! They're gone!

  • I've had grandfathers die on Philippine soil when war came. They died in battle fighting the Japanese. And we hear Filipinos today acting like their country is worthless! My forebears died for nothing? The Philippines is a good country with some of the finest people. It has many strategic advantages. No one wants to tangle with her for long. Its wealth and strength is in its people. Withdraw even a fourth of them out of their jobs overseas and world economy suffers.

  • @mads2a Filipinos are nice, but I don't think Philippines is a very strong country. It has a consistent history of defeat and occupation to virtually every invader, the Spanish, the Americans, the Japanese. Only with the help of a stronger foreign entity was the Philippines able claim freedom. Much respect to your war dead.

  • @Obs3ss3d94 The Philippines never was a strong country militarily, economically or pretty much in any area. It is sad that the citizens bicker and fight among themselves quite often. They blame one another and themselves for the country's many ills. Yet be that as it may. By and large they are still a peace loving people. Resilient and adaptable, they are everywhere in the globe. They never committed any war of aggression against any country. Their country was raped by other nations.

  • @mads2a The strong countries always will get away with everything, no matter what. They will always bully the week if you read the news. The most peaceful countries with enough power and the wrong leaders can turn crazy. Modern Japanese find invading and shooting another weaker country and people an unspeakable act. Some ex-soldiers like Makino Akira are coming clean for vivisection and experimenting of Filipinos. While Japan's actions are probably exaggerated, I'm sure people suffer in war.

  • @Obs3ss3d94 The Philippines has always been weak. Yet that doesn't excuse the spaniards, the americans and the japanese from inflicting so much suffering. Their invasions were all unjustified. I agree though that from a purely strategic and economic standpoint Japan had to invade the Philippines because the 7th fleet was stationed there along with several substantial military airfields. It is strategically located. It also has important resources to replenish the jap war effort.

  • @mads2a I actually really admire Filipinos for they are naturally forgiving, very warm and I know most have a favorable opinion to Japan. Colonialism is wrong, invasions is never justified but the situation in WW2 really left Japan with little choice. The US placed an embargo and stopped importing oil to Japan. Because of this, the Imperial Army were forced to attack and colonize Philippines. The original aim was to free Asia for Asians, I think Japan succeeded in this in the end.

  • @Obs3ss3d94 yes i agree in textbooks in the philippines they show the good are the americans and the bad guys are the japanese but thanks for the japs if they didnt invade us maybe we are still colonize by the US the invasion still have a positive side after all

  • @MultiHephep yeah, look at some of the comments. they are totally brainwashed that the americans were the hope for the nation. idiots.

  • Those who say that the americans should be blamed for Manila's destruction are wrong. When the Japanese came in 1941, Manila was declared an open city and the invaders entered it without any fight. When the Americans came back, the japanese refused to declare it an open city. Instead, they dug in and turned the city into a war zone. There was no choice for the GIs and Filipino guerillas but to go in and root them out, house to house.

  • All foreigners just think of the Philippines as a place to get hoers, maids, and cheap labor. So why would they care if the Philippines would be scorched the ground along with its people...The Philippine Government is a joke, and their is no such thing as a Philippine nation. I have waited a long time for any one in the Philippines to be able to say that we are one.

Ikw? Ginagawa mo ba? Baka kulang pa? O kya sumuko ka na....

  • don't forget that before World War II there was an Philippine American War

(1889-1913) Americans have killed a million of Flipinos during that War

  • @larty295736 DUDE you knew why did americans kill them it's like this they killd the child woman men its be coz of there general got mad soo they killd them all be coz the filipino killd the american troops maybe it general william who get mad

  • @darkzoneo144 what??? wtf r u talking about..?

  • @larty295736 At least the Americans gave the Philippines their independence after WW2.

  • @larty295736 And don't forget that we already had a war with Spain as well, but even before that, we had to endure their oppression.

  • @larty295736 I dont think foreigners can deny, specially the western foreigners, that in the past they have killed millions of us filipinos.

  • @larty295736 So you're saying that what Japan did to the Filipinos is acceptable, then, just because the U.S. killed Filipinos as well? I mean, I like Japanese culture, as well, but the Filipinos seem to be literally crazy about Japan these days...it's like the Japanese could have killed millions of more innocents, and still most Filipinos would love them a few decades later...

  • @larty295736 how many japanese killed filipinos...? you should have more shame for to your own people that liberated you from the japs. to make you free to cater to them and make them feel great, they arnt your heros. good thing most your populace doesnt feel the same way as you do go crawl under your rock somewhere and die like the pos you are. There are plenty of american loving filipinos alot more than you.

  • I wonder if the Americans would be as reckless if they were waging this war in their homeland. American fuckers went trigger happy in this war coz its another country's city they were destroying.

  • war wounds heal but less not forget! now Japan and Philippine relationship is as strong as ever! both nation turn their eyes into china as the threat to freedom!! and I bet cha Japs and flips would be brothers in arms in war with communism...

  • That's a funny line in the end, "the Philippine capital free at last but gutted and ravaged is returned to the Filipino". Gee, thanks for bombing and raping our beautiful city.

  • this was not a heroic stand by Imperial army because they went crazy. they became madmen!!

  • the japanese's army make every filipino as thier shield during the bombarding of the manila by the american's. the hell with the japaneses empire

  • @buwayasahubas same as the americans. brave american soldier were the officers of USAFE. which means they don't have to go to the front

  • @buwayasahubas not only that the japannese then massacred alot of phils and raped them and thier babies.

  • tisoy909. I like the way you did your revenge, ha ha. If givin a chance I'll do it that way.. good one.

  • Ohhhh My Beloved Philippines why foreigners always attracted to you Spanish Americans and Even British in colonial times and the last the Japanese? they always want your Natural Resources, your people, your good strategic position in the map and your Women.. Why ohh Why..

  • I stab my japanese girlfriend over 500 times every night because of this. I call it getting revenge for the filipinos. but all in good spirit :)

  • @tisoy909

    lol

  • The occupation of the Phillipines (also SE Asia and the Pacific) was horrific for the inhabitants. The Japs said they were 'resucing' their asian 'brothers' from colonialism... but instead they gave them a raw deal. The real history is not taught in Jap schools now and many of my Jap friends know nothing of this stuff... sad really.

  • my filipino grand father told me that he once a japanese soldier. the japanese forced him to join the japanese imperial army and if not he will be beheaded. he told me that he was almost killed by americans because he was mortared. he also told me that he killed some american soldiers. he was ate grass at themountains when he escape from japanese.

  • Wow..a 360 lb (163 Kg) HE round from a 240mm M1 Howitzer will really ruin your day!

  • My grandfather was a Medic Warrant Officer, with the First Cav in the Philippines. He lost his Warrant Officership sometime during the War, but his men revered him as a result. He never said anything about what he saw, except that he "Gave out band-aids, and salt water to gargle with for sore throats". He served for 20 more years thereafter.

BTW, anyone who intentionally shoots at a Medic, or litter bearers, is a real POS scumbag.

  • diz iz fo yo JAPAN!!!!

    ┌∩┐(◕_◕)┌∩┐

  • poor manila......how about the residents huh???

  • @josephabraham2005 The Japs killed 90,000-plus Filipinos before they were finally kicked out. They were brutal against civilians, and POWs.

I have nothing but respect for modern day Japan though, and my grandfather never held a grudge against them either.

  • the japs got owned

  • before we were fighting to gain our lands back to our own hands to gain full control of it and if we need the use of guns and other weapons we'll do that but now china as a powerful nation now is really wanting to get our islands to their own hands before when they were not powerful they didn't wanted to get it but now they want to it's clear we really need to be a superpower to gain full control of our islands i wish for the next administration to be ambitious about being a superpower!?

  • @joesel19 that's a wrong way of thinking. Coz it would lead like what happened in Colonization Era(1400-1900). The Phil. administration should think of how the country would increase its economy, make better education, health, not to be corrupt and so on. China's not trying to be superpower. I guess you're talking about the "Spratly Islands" issue. Not only china is claiming those islands but also indonesia, vietnam, our country's neighbors.

  • @missheru25 well actually vietnam is also like the mini china now also manufacturing products in their land and rising economy too they also dont like americans like china so their pro-china too that's why china and vietnam are sharing the land that have been our land when they were not powerful than us but their not like us their abusing their power how i wish GOD WILL BRING MORE EARTHQUAKES in their land!?

  • @joesel19 Becauze Vietnam had this tragic history against american during Vietnam War. But holding a grudge towards the old colonizers is a suck thinking. People should think in a modernistic way. Spain colonized Philippines for almost 300 years but Filipino people doesn't hold grudge anymore then life goes on after that. About the spratly islands, only the government gives a fuck about that issue. The hell I care about those islands. Our islands are enough already. Just need some work on it.

  • @missheru25 what we should take a closer look is the distance of those islands to our territories. you should take a look in what the chinese are doing at those islands. what can you find there? underground naval bases and more? what are those? what if the china is really poised to take Phiippines as their own? after spratlys what will they take, palawan? i think it ends here, at least our government should just draw a line and put a limit at these bullies.

  • @joesel19 have u heard the news about the spratly islands 2 years ago. A one marine captain said that Philippines won't interfere to the countries who tries to use those islands because the marines prefer peace rather than war. The case about this island is still on the international court sleeping. And if we ever claim those islands, will the gov't make projects on those? how come phils. gov't don't make procjects in some virgin islands in our country? it's because one word CORRUPTION.

  • @missheru25 i believe it's because of gloria have you heard that she wanted to share it with china but with a one condition and that's a debt from china and i believe vietnam is an ally of china cause they dont like americans like chinese and north koreans so that's why vietnam is also sharing the island with us and china and i believe we can fight for it but why cant we fight for it because we are not a superpower like china before we are but now everything changed we are growing 3-5% not like-

  • @missheru25 not like them their growing 6-10% specially china look how the government doesn't want it to be controlled by us fully in our own hands like how our government is so fullish they dont want to pull the deuterium out of the philippine depp which is going to be the fastest way for us to grow because it will be the next fuel of the world we have the biggest reserves of it china will give spratly and every islands they stole from us if we wont sell them deuterium but IF they will pull it

  • Did you know General Emilo Aguinaldo is the leader of Army Philippine and first President i know because i am Filipino But what month did Japanese stay in the Philippine country years? i hope this is the correct answer 50 years or 100 years?

  • fuck the stinky indians, PAN idealism!!!

  • Too bad more filipino civilians were killed by US artillery than japanese atrocities. Despite Yamashita's intent of leaving for the mountains and declaring Manila an open city the fanatical japanese naval infantry chose to dig in (and the Americans wanted to reduce US casualties from difficult house-to-house fighting) the Americans had to shell most of the city and about a hundred thousand filipinos caught in between were killed. Manila was the next worst bombed city after Warsaw in WW2.

  • true but you answered your own statement. Yamashita by all means wanted to avoid huge civilian Casualities in Manila and take the fight to the mountains. However experience proved the Japanese were not going to be forced out of Manila just on the whim of Yamashita. Yes it was Japanese Marines who decided to make Manila a Bloodbath. Leaving the US Military with little or no choice but take Manila by force. Unfortunately the Filippinos payed the price of Japanese Fanatics refusing to leave

  • @raoulbanzon Wrong, Dresden was the worst.

  • Manila WAS the Second devastated City in WW2

  • The Japanese used Filipino hostages to negotiate with the Yanks for unmolested withdrawal from Downtown Manila to Norzagaray -on the outskirts. If the conditions were turned down they would have died fighting with the civilians caught in between, as with Intramuros. LIFE magazine photos show Japanese marching out under watch by Yanks.

  • Very interesting, thanks for the info! =D

  • Your most welcome, talking about the battles in Filipines is my passion

  • if i were truman, i wuld have chosen to bomb tokyo and the imperial family....no ofense

  • darn u japs,,, u wil pay for this........

  • Free from Japanese domination to Yankee domination. The status quo didnt change

  • Tell me how many Yankees behead Filipino with swords because they didn't bow to officers and say Hancho-san???

  • I see Ali and when Malaya was captured just how many Ethenic Chinese Malay and Indians were executed by the Japanese in 3 1/2yrs of Japanese Occupation of Malaya and Singapore. Course methinks you would perfer the Japanese. As I recall not many British decapitated Malays with a sword either

  • @Sipatbana The japs were like lions. They roared and devoured their preys. However the Brits were like phytons. They stalked and deoured their preys silently. Both were beasts and unwanted by us Malaysians

  • @ali4330 You may not wanted the English that I can't deny. However to compare the English to the Japanese during World War 2 is like comparing Durians to lemons. One stinks so bad and the other is lemony to the taste. And again How many Malays were executed by the sword by the Brits

  • noon kapag parating ang hapon nagtatago ang mga kababaihan, pero ngayon kapag merong hapon kababaihan ang naghahabol sa hapon!!

  • Question sa mga hindi ngcu cutting classes nun elementary at gradeschool:

Where did the Manilenos (Civilian) stayed/ hiding when this war was happening?

Why US freed Philippines while they bought Guam from Spain?..

Any site I could find more details?...

***Opo, aminado na,,I was a stupident, I cut history classes back in highschool. I only loved Physics, it's just now that I've realized I like to know about our history. Shame on me!!!!

  • most of them, manila din. some were sent to prison camps in the provinces esp those with american blood. the US bought the philippines and guam sabay but they had to free pinas after the war kc it would b very expensive for them to help us rebuild all the way, they left us with destroyed towns and cities, several millions of dollars and a mutual defense treaty. The history of WWII in the philippines cn b summarized into 1 sentence, "The US and japan made our country their battleground."

  • if you know your history well. in the philippines is the japanese war machine was stopped. Bataan would hold on more if it is not abandoned by american officers. just a bad case of decisions. i know filipinos will fight to the last man because this is traditional how we fought.

  • actually the general that was assigned to defend manila requested an order from the higher rank to leave the city and defend in the mountains instead but was denied..then mac arthur came and almost annahilated the city of manila because he was scared that many americans will be killed instead of FILIPINO LIVES.

  • manila is one of the cities mostly damaged during world war ii.. comparable to the damage of berlin, nagasaki, heroshima, etc.

  • yeah u right...

T_T they destroy our beautiful country

  • @meel2u dude it's like many idiot traitor sooo that japanes has enter philippines soo fast

  • Gooks got naild! lol

  • Manila was not destroyed by the Japs. It was the Americans who bombed and torched the city just to get the small Japanese force out of hiding because the yanks were just too scared to seek out snipers and jap contingents. The Filipino Guerrilla forces were the ones doing the mopping up while the Americans used tanks and howitzers to flush out a single sniper.

  • Both did. Intramuros suffered damage as early as 1941. one of the casualties were Santo Domingo Church, the country's most beautiful church then. c:

  • And you already know why AMERICA loves WAR. Because they profit a lot with it. They're the biggest manufacturer and exporter of firearms even the weapons of mass destruction. Why the hell they're so scared about IRAN or North Korea acquiring a nuke facility because they know they did a lot of crimes all over the world and if one of these countries has a nuke capability then they're scared that it will be used againts them...

  • Then they accused IRAQ and Saddam Hussein of keeping weapons of mass destruction but did they found anything i.e. nukes after the war and after Saddam was hanged to death ? NO! These Americans committed more genocide rather Saddam and its like BUSH is the new HITLER. They call the JAPANESE as the IMPERIAL but what the hell are they doing ? Isn't it IMPERIALISM when you capture lots of territories which is outside the US waters ? i.e. GUAM, US Virgin territories and a lot more ? Damn!

  • @SushiWarriorTW

I agree with man and America even sacrificed their own people for the sake of finishing an unfinished job. Now you might be wondering what the hell am I saying ? Remember the 9/11 attacks ? Its BUSH and the CIA who staged it. They made it appear that its afghanistan or taliban who did it so they have something to start a war against them (taliban), They could not think any better way of starting a war againts the taliban but to start it off right at their own homeland...

  • What I don't understand is why the Imperial Japanese were so fanatical about defending territories THEY occupied. I could understand if they were defending Japan proper, but it seems very dumb for them to be so crazed about holding Manila when it's simply a city under their yoke.

  • They "fanatically" held onto the Phillipines because if they lost it, they could no longer ship oil and other raw materials from their other possesions in SE Asia (which was their last supply of oil) to the Home Islands, and the Phillipines would be a staging area along with the Marianas for B-29 attacks on the Home Islands, as well as for the assault on Okinawa. (Which in turn became a staging area for an invasion of Japan). Those are just a few reasons I can think of from the top of my head.

  • jjhays36 LOL ! ... search up worlds biggest arms dealer. ALL WEBSITE POINTS AT USA LEADING THE WORLD IN export of weapons.

  • China and Philippines owe a lot to USA! USA & China are very close now and allies in war on Islamists!

  • Looks whos talking?! Are you in drugs when commenting harizawa?! Hope you will die in a very painfull way! Like your idol's hitler and yamashita...Rot in hell with them! Psycho Mosquito brain!

  • This is horrible , R I P ? GOB BLESS TO ALL FILIPPINO ANG ALLY AMERICAN ..............

  • yeh. See the History channel: Showing more then 100 bombart launched in 1 minutes for hours. Ex US soiders from Manila wars claims some nusty armies just want to get macho boming, rather brave street fighting like Stalingard war. That is why so many building gone. Their mentality was 1 US soiders is worth more then tons of bombs. Other ppls life is worth a peny.

  • China & USA in New World Order will be close allies in war on Islamists who want to rule the world! Philippines owe a lot to China & USA!

  • what china? usa maybe but not china hahahaha

  • @Roger15ohm yeah i watched that history channel documentary. the US and Japan used the Philippines as their battlegrounds as they kill innocent filipino civilians.

  • @attypulpol Both Americans and Japanese killed so many Filipinos... the Spanish were relatively kind to Filipinos compared to the amount that the Americans killed! Funny how colonised countries have to take all this bull plop... que pasó con el mundo...

  • @sirach Lol, kind to Filipinos? Compared to what Americans did? 30 years of American occupation Philippines rapidly developed. 300 years of Spanish occupation Philippines stagnated and even caused serious demoralization of its people? You call that kind? Spain was very corrupt nowhere kinder to what Americans are.

  • @pcekeep After bombing Intramuros and killed so many Filipinos, then killed Filipinos over 10 who were against the American occupation, then forbade the Spanish language from being spoken, and imposed English, despite Spanish having been spoken by our national heroes? Since the bombing, the Philippines has been a wreck. In any case, colonisation sucks. See fonsucu's videos on Youtube for historical hidings that from Philippine American-biased textbooks.

  • @sirach Colonization sucks, I agree. Nor the American or even the British. However in our side America was just clearly the better evil. America did us more good than bad it is no bias at all...

  • @pcekeep The Spanish really killed only Jose Rizal, while the Americans and Japanese killed Filipinos in such a short amount of time. Lo mucho siento pero considero que los españoles eran más mejor que la colonización americana. The American textbooks in the Philippines really did make the Spanish such a bad guy, when we were actually treated pretty well compared to Mexico, Chile and Peru.

  • @pcekeep Funny you are arguing with SIRACH who is the better evil. I used to be so pro-US too but after 9/11 I did research and looks like we were brainwashed. US even brainwashes her own people today through media.

I think we benefited and suffered from both colonial masters. If you look at Singapore and Hong Kong I wonder if we would be better off with the British instead. But I do agree with you...colonization sucks cuz you are basically a 2nd-class citizen.

  • @AccordGTR And what option do we have? America would mindlessly exterminate "any" nations that stands in its way and interest. Better off with the British, are you even sure of that? Both America and Britain were evils, the only difference is British was a monarchy while America was a democratic Republic. There's no difference at all by their aims and goals. The glorious British empire as we perceive it to be is a myth. Nothing but mere British propaganda.

  • @pcekeep I never said we had a choice. I was just wonderin out loud. I agree both are evil and hardly any difference and built on propaganda and the blood of innocents.

But note in the Philippine Revolution, we also killed our own through no fault of US or Spain. Philippines was hardly united in 1898 when US invaded eventhough we declared our Independence from Spain. I think US prevented a bloodbath or civil war but I'm just guessing. Point is we needed somebody to guide us.

  • @AccordGTR We need a leader, you are saying? Yeah, we need one. Not to wage war against the world but at least open the eyes of our countrymen. We need a leader who would inspire and lead our people to prosperity. Not someone as insane as Hitler nor as devious as Marcos. Not as useless as Cory Aquino either. In any ways, Philippines had gotten through almost any problems it faced to the present date. I think everything is just a test to our countrymen for them to wake up.

  • @pcekeep I agree. As a nation we are very immature. We don't have our own identity yet. We are great copiers of others and we rely too much on others when we should be self-reliant and learn how to work as a team and raise our standards to that of world-class levels. Instead of watching Kris & James chismis, we should study history and global issues. I notice even my parents are so closed-minded on many issues. The world has changed a lot and we are falling rapidly behind.

  • @AccordGTR not really immature, we just adopted a faulty system and the people just didn't care about it. No wonder "Nothing works".

  • @pcekeep You have to look at it from a historical point of view. Our current democracy is only 24 years old from the Marcos era. From colonial era its only 64 years old. 100 years ago there were no Filipino lawyers who knew US law (the system we use today). National education was only started 4 generations ago.

Compare that to the European, Chinese, Japanese civilizations and you will see we are still children in the life of a nation.

Do your part and stop complaining.

  • @AccordGTR the system of our government is really flawed. am I not free to express my opinions?

  • @pcekeep Sorry, I meant WE should all do our part and stop complaining. My point is, it will take a long time to change. All we can do is try not to support the dark side and try to be honest stick to our principles. I agree it can be really frustrating to see, not just corruption, but incompetence and injustice in our govt

  • @pcekeep When the Spanish took pictures of the Filipinos back to Spain, they made pictures of them in beautiful, formal attire, beautiful dresses and sharp clothing with fans and beautiful hair, while when the Americans took pictures to take back to the USA, they took pictures of the indigenous people, painting an entirely different portrait of the Philippines... definitely a WASP tactic. Nevertheless, ¡Viva la República de Filipinas!

  • @sirach yeah, the spanish really took a good image about us but then what were the living conditions of the people? in poverty? many were dying of hunger. many were deprived from opportunities. many were disappointed from a corrupt government? americans were just realistic.

  • @pcekeep Actually, take a look at those pictures (video: Mazurca taaleña). They are not those in poverty; they were tribal peoples barely touched by Western culture. It definitely was also a WASP idea. The Americans killed at least 40 000 Filipinos just for their own military tactics, and this is labelled the Filipino genocide. (video: Spanish American War the Philippines and Filipino Genocide 5)

  • @Roger15ohm, Manilla was declared an open city by the japanese General in commnad of all Jap. troops on the island. A Jap. Admiral moved ~17,000 naval troops into Manilla & took command of the ~3,000 Army troops there, & began to fortify the city, demolish buildings, & kill thousands of Filipino civilians. War is terrible & you use superior weaponry if you have it & we did indeed use it. Jap. also used Filipinos as human shields - juast as N. Koreans did in the Korean War.

  • someone should do a movie about the war in manila during the world war 2

it'll be like "saving private ryan" but instead "saving manila"

  • Para palang afganistan ang nangyari sa Pinas noon ah!

Malimit tayong manood ng giyera sa pelikula at sumubaybay sa gyire sa ibang bansa. Ganoon din pala kalupit ang nangyari sa atin,,,,

This videos tells more than what books have listed. Thanks for the upload
