  • Interview in "Lush Life", from last year, with Ayshea (includes recent photos) - just search google for "Ayshea Brough lush life" and the PDF should be the top result.

  • She was my first boyhood fantasy. She really did things to a lad's hormones.

  • Can anyone remember this song, which was also recorded by Ayshea, it went:

If you want some sugar for your daddy's coffee

    Follow me, follow me

If you want an apple for your puppy-doggy

    Follow me, follow me

The song's probably called "Follow Me Follow Me", but confirmation would be great!!!

  • Yes, it's like Roy-period ELO with Ayshea on lead vocals!

I agree about how this would have suited Toyah (herself from Birmingham)!

  • Does anyone remember her song Another Without You Day, with Moonbeam on the B side? It was a fabulous single. If anyone has it PLEASE can you put it on YouTube for me.

I loved Lift Off when I was a kid. Happy days. xx

  • @saucy3101

hmm, Moonbeam. Do you remember the opening lines of it? I've been trying for months to see if it's the song

that's been going around in my head since 1974. Is it '..she flew out of the sky as the winds of July...'

    something something?

  • Wow, my dad loved Ayshea so much he gave me her name. I'm nearly 37 now.

  • I was about 12 when Ayshea was a regular on our television screens. I can't even think of the right words to describe how much I fancied her, I think it was the bare thighs that did it. I'd love to know what she looks like now.

  • @guildfordboy I fancied her like crazy too, and those thighs had a devastating effect on me as well. The thing is though that when I was about 14 my older brother was a roadie and he took me backstage to a Wizzard concert. I stood next to her for about half an hour, and she smiled at me,I was in love but I was too shy to even speak to her :)

  • so roy was the brains behind ELO?

  • Sounds like Roy all the way. Even the singing. Quite nicely mad. Good work!

  • What a tune eh ! Found it on this 'GLITTER FROM THE LITTER BIN' compilation cd...very haunting, fantastic ! Great voice, been playing it on my vintage psych/glam rock dj gigs...cool to see it on here...spread the word !

  • Youtube is not letting me put a link up.

  • Message me for 2 recent photo's of Ayshea.

  • Thanks for posting, childhood memories.

  • I wish she had a bigger role in UFO

  • Wonderful! Roy at his peak!!! many thanks for this!

  • Wow. Havent heard this since its release! Thanks for posting, really typical Wood song. Class.

  • She sang the best version ever of Snowbird,my dad loved it so much, but been trying to get it for his funeral next week, anyone have it?????????????????

  • This is great - MANY THANX for posting. I loved Ayshea on Lift Off - loved the performances on that show of Slade "Far Far Away" and Bolan "Truck on Tyke".

  • Oh my God! I haven't heard this for 30-odd years. Thanks a million for posting! Ayshea was totally gorgeous and I was head-over-heels for her at the tender age of 11. God Bless her!

  • ayshea brough was the first women i fell in love with on tele after seeing her in gerry anderson,s UFO in 1970 oh to be that teenager again never forget the first women your liked do you!

    marc in bletchley aged 51

  • Just brilliant, thanks for posting this! The song is/was far too clever for the top 20 of the time.

  • I bought this record when it came out, She was so hot!!! I lost the record years ago, finding another copy is very difficult.

  • in 1996, i went for a drink, with Aysea, who told me that she had been in BJORN AGAIN, abba trubute in early nineties,- she didnt mention UFO, lift off, etc ot of modesty, or she didnt want to "give an indication as to her age" ,,,, athough her hair, was short and blonde in 96, something she said ,was she owned "RED-BUS" , music publishing ... blah blah blah ,...

  • Hey Martin,

Thanks for uploading this homemade video of an interesting song that has Roy Wood's brilliance all over it, haven't heard it for years I know it is available on a CD called Glitter From The Litter Bin would be great to have it on iTunes.

    Cheers

  • I had never heard this before and don't remember it from the time but you can hear Roy Woods production and sound on the record.

  • Wow, THIS is the single Toyah was looking for around 1982. It pays to network with the right folks.
