i have a D5 too,,sure its dry,,the D10 came with the effects,,reverb chorus. But once you got to grips with LA it can produce some great sounds

I have a D-5 and it isn't as bad as you say. Sure the presets suck and it is a pain in the ass to program, but if you spend time with it you can get some cool sounds.
