You made me laugh at some points but so true about buying what you can afford. Recently bought cheap stantons on ebay and they are fine for what i want and need to do.
hey mykeman.i think stanton c314 is good enough. and maybe a djm 400 mixer. and throw in the stanton final scratch/or rane serato. i think u are good to go to any clubs and spin.u dun need top notch gear. i have the stanton c314 and t 80 tables and im using the stanbton final scratch i think its good enough. but rane serato is better. honestly. and the djm mixer. but for scratching and turntablists the stanton SA 3 is cheap and good.
fuck poineer mixers they aint shit compared to allen and heaths, as well as raine
you want to talk expensive mate ill show expensive
pioneers are only the best in sound quality , honestly the capabilities on the cdj's are alittle lacking for the price i mean yea the pitch controll is hella accurate but so fuckin what stanton c314's are cheap reliable and the people your gonna be playing for arent gonna shit about what brand you role with so stop talkin about pioneer like its the best
I' am djing for 3 years now and in the second year i played at party's and gained about 600 euro's that's 1200 dollar (dollar just lost his value ha) My friend saved his money and got pioneers after a year. Now who's better of?
smjrecords you are so wrong! Just but the gear that matches your budget. I know after two our 3 years you have to replace them but that's just the same with pioneers. The pioneers won't brake are something like that but pioneer releases new products at a record speed after 3 year your gear is simple old fashion.
This is a bad package. Don't buy it. .1% pitch resolution means accurate mixing isn't even POSSIBLE on these decks. The mixer has crap eqs, no curve adjust on any faders, crap sound quality, etc. You're better off saving and getting equipment you won't hate after you outgrow it. I recommend Numark CDXs, Pioneer CDJ1000s, Denon DNS3500/DNS5000s, or at least upgrade to the Stanton C.314s. Stay AWAY from american audio cdi500s, vestax cd players, technics sldz. Take my word for it.
That's your opinion of the decks. The prices of Numark CDXs, Pioneer CDJ1000s, Denon DNS3500/DNS5000s are unaffordable (unless you are lucky and get a bargain). These decks are good for beginners and professionals too. stanton c.314 has vinyl and effects which i dont have. Thats the only disadvantage i see. For a dance dj, vinyl mode is not essential.
Why buy equipment you will end up replacing? I have experience with these decks for two years now, they just aren't professional grade. The trigger buttons get stuck all the time- REALLY annoying. The effects implementation was not well-thought-out, flanger is mediocre at best. I will again restate that the pitch resolution does not enable accurate mixing. This is not my opinion, this is fact.
The quality is still mediocre. I strongly suggest going for Numark CDXs, Denon DNS3500s/DNS5000s, Pioneer CDJ800MK2s/CDJ1000MK3s. TRY THEM OUT BEFORE YOU BUY. Number 3 and 4 sample pads on the C.313/314 always get stuck, bad circuit plate. Effects implementation is weak, you REALLY NEED TO TRY to understand what I'm getting at.
I agree with you about if you grow out of them and for a few quality reasons, but for a DJ setup that doesn't cost a ton and for a beginner than this set up is a good go! I mean I would of gone for the C.314s but still besides the point. It really depends how much of a factor cost is. You see what I'm getting at??
:)) pioneer and all that other equipment you've posted about are faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar to expensive for most of us ... plus ... I don't think a bedroom DJ needs 2 cdj-1000 mk3's and a djm-800 mixer ... those are good for clubs;pubs;concerts;etc ... etc... etc ...
In my personal oppinion, the c313 is just perfect for a beginner, bedroom Dj(especially for a DJ that mixes electronic music - since you don't use scratching while mixing electronic music)
U have to rely on your ears and listen to the two beats(from your speakers and your headphones) and try to beatmatch them. It has a pitch percentage which simply shows you how further you're moving the pitch slider. cdj800 and vestax have bpm counter bt you still have to adjust/ride the pitch slider to get them at same speed. So its all about having good listening abilities
Usually when you loop, you dont always get the exact loop in and loop out points so most of the beat will go off unless you spin the jog wheel clockwise to speed up the track in order to keep it in sync with the other track u have on playing live. If u starting, i suggest u dont use loops; rather download tracks that are 'club versions or original versions'; these have longer intro's and outro's for good blends and mixes
...gonna save for it a long time or buy it right now and then think he will be good just because he has top gear. its what you play and how you play it , not what is played on, right? are you gonna do some videos of you mixing? keep up!
oh i can, it was just little longer than the limit;|
good stuff man! you are so right about not waiting to save money for any expensive gear and buying what you can afford so that you can learn and become better before someone whos...
sorry! it does not have scratching (no vinyl mode);stanton C.313 cd player. The one you might be looking buying is the stanton c.314(it has vinyl mode) or if u want to buy the package, look at buying the digipack pro V3.
and the cd player has no effects too. But what i think is you really dont need effects on a cd player; I prefer to have the effects coming from a mixer. Most cd players come with basic effects like flange and others; the effects are pretty common and thus boring to hear. For instance, i'm saving up for pioneer djm 600 mixer.
PLEASE THATS SOME BULL SHIT

Hi There!
This May Sound Wierd And Stupid But Im Thirteen Years Old And An Aspiring Dj.
Im Just Starting Out But Ive Been Practicing On The Side-Lines For About Two Years Now...
And Im Getting The Stanton Digipak V.2
But There is Something That Is Bothering me. . .
If There Is No Bpm Counter On The Stanton C.313 Then How Do You Kno What Pitch To Put The Other Turntable On To Beatmatch The Two Songs Togethor?

And When You Are Looping Are You Able To Tap The Jog Wheel To Speed Up The Cue?
