Was this in 03 when the hockey team made it to the frozen 4 or finals? Btw My friends and I have been talking: when UNH finally wins a National Championship the entire campus is gunna turn into a riot it will probably be 10x as big as this but i wasnt as this one just a estimation.
Are you the guy who recorded the video of the riots, including police brutality against innocent bystanders, that was played on NHPTV a few years ago? I wish I could find that video again.
You're a clown dude. There was no police brutality. I was there that night and the jokers who got arrested deserved to be arrested. They were setting off bottle rockets and throwing bottles at police horses. If you as me, they got off pretty easy.
Apparently we're not talking about the same people. I was referring to a couple guys who were on the sidewalk videotaping the riots, then got threatened then maced by the cops after they moved into the entryway of a bulding. They weren't throwing anything. I was not suggesting that those who were throwing things were mistreated. They got what they deserved.
stfu ever hear of public safety or officer safety? rioting is illegal in the US for good reason. I was at the sox riots the police issued very clear warnings any one who stepped in the street would be arrested for disturbing the peace. You can't have pandemonium like that it isn't safe.
I was referring to innocent bystanders who were standing in the entryway of a building when they got maced, not rioters who were causing trouble. I have never condoned rioting, but I also don't think someone should be attacked for videotaping interactions with the police.
do you live or attend unh? where you there? I was and what I saw no one was an innocent bystander if they were outside they wanted to see shit go down. They were in the entry ways of buildings because they wanted to have a better view the police told people to disperse and move.
I used to be a student at UNH, but I wasn't in Durham when the riots happened. Are you suggesting that just being there made someone guilty of a crime? It seems odd to me that the police would target someone who was filming when others were causing trouble elsewhere. I am of the opinion that the role of police should be to keep the peace and deal with actual crimes. The cameraman was told to move, so he moved from the sidewalk to an entryway just inside a building.
It appeared to me that he complied with the order given by the officer. Unfortunately, rather than ordering him to leave the downtown area, the officer just ordered him to "move". I have noticed that in recent years, police across the country are targeting camera crews more often during riots and other events where the police are using force.
what are you talking about? he didnt target the camera man or arrest him? he told him to back up twice and then he continued on his way to go get the trouble makers. Being there that night actually did make you guilty of a crime... disturbing the peace, which was issued in local papers and blackboard students were told not to riot.
Look at my first post. I wasn't talking about this video. I was talking about a different riot where a cameraman was maced while standing just inside a building. As far as those who caused trouble and rioted, they're just stupid and should have been arrested.

UMM no LOL they've never won a national title, unless you're talking about women's hockey, and I don't think the riot was for women's hockey
