Qasidah Burdah - Translation of Chapter 3

the Prophet Sm said, in Sahih hadith, Allah Says none has the right to say that somebody is better than Younis bin Matta AS. and in another hadith, one should not say one Prophet is better than the other. only Allah KNows whom He FAvoured over whom. the Prophet SM and all Prophets AS have been favoured in different aspects. He will be chief on the Day, Moses AS was favoured when Allah Talked to him, etc.

what does Qasidah Burdah mean?

"VERSE OF THE CLOAK"

The author of this Qasidah, Imam Busiri, had suffered from a stroke - and half of their body was paralysed. After they wrote this Qasidah, they went to sleep. In their dream the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came, and told them to recite the poem to them. Prophet (PBUH) then blessed them by giving them their cloak. When Imam Busiri awoke, the same cloak was covering their body - and their body was miraculously cured.

Hence the name of the poem. Verse of the Cloak - Qasidah Burdah
