I admire marilyn manson, but i think he's being arrogant. Shock and Outrageousness has been in the industry for a long LONG time, mainly in rock, only recently has it been passed on to pop. but it's not JUST becuase of him.

The similarities between the too are incredible, its just a shame that him being a male doing what he does had him shunned but its fair to say his style of sending the msg could be viewed negatively.
