  • how about? 2 types of concrete have different types of limits its either xc1,xc2,xc3,xs1,xs2,xs3,xd1,xd2,xd3. for all of these there are a seperate table each for 100 or 50 years. and each of these tables there is a list of different cover values 15,20,25....60. So basically my lecturer wants me to be able to make a working programme where you input for example xc2,cover 15,at 100 years and the limit would just pop up...I have all the limits i just need to know what formula to use?

  • learning is cool here

    and i really appreciate it

but is it possible that u test us when we r done with the series and tell us where we stand ??

  • Question: why do we go to the website you are offering on these instructional videos if we can go to YOUTUBE? Real question:

My thoughts are that you are very helpful with your tutorials and i cant explain how much I am learning, although I'm thinking that YOUTUBE seems to be easiest to watch. Please explain why I should down load, I really dont understand. Sorry to be sounding like an idiot here.

  • If you wnat the Excel worrbook that I used in the video, then download from excelisfun YouTube channel.

  • In 2003 the keyboard shortcut for page setup is Alt, F, U lol

    3:18

  • Yes, that used to be my best line when teaching my classes - it ALWAYS got a bunch of laughs!!

  • Hi there, you are great!

I have a little problem here. How to select a cell let say A1 and A3 (exclude cell A2) without using the mouse? I'm working with thousands of data every day and I'm very seldom using the mouse as working with keyboard shortcut really save lots of time. I hope you can help me sir. Thanks..

  • You could type the two cell references out. There is a GoTo keyboard shortcut, that would work if you were enrering cell references into a formula, but it would take a lot of key strokes.

  • @ExcelIsFun Thanks Sir. Thats very useful. I'll discover how to reduce the keystroke.

  • Than,k you so much this is an awesome time-saver. You are so easy to watch too!

  • I am glad that the videos hlep!

  • I was wondering how to zoom in and out in a laptop? I dont have a mouse other than the one that comes with the laptop and when I press crt and move the "mouse" it doesn't zoom in or out. I usually press crt "+" or "-" and it works only when I want to zoom a website but it doesn't work for word or excell

Thanks for your videos your awesome!

  • I do not know. Did you try the zoom bar in the Staus Bar (at bottom)?

  • @ExcelIsFun ya I did but I was wondering if there was a keyboard shortcut, Thanks though

  • thanks a lot!

  • You are welcome!

  • it's a great video ...thank you soo much...

  • You are welcome!

    That will be $5, please!

  • Hi Mike,

I have a question: sometimes when I drag down, it paste from the original cell (e.g. if first cell is 1, the dragged cell will be 1) - (I hate this), but I believe that most of the time it would go continuous (e.g. first cell is 1, dragged cell will be 2,3,4,5,...)- How do I solve this problem?

  • type a 1 then a 2 below, highlight that, then drag down. That will give you 1,2,3,4

or type 1, hold CTRL, then drag down.

  • @ExcelIsFun Sometimes it works, sometimes, it didn't mike.. Very frustrating. :(

  • What is it that is working sometimes, but not others?

  • @amycecillau - sorry, has been a while since i replied.

About the problem that i had with the dragging down and all of them was copied into the dragged cell- while what I want a the continuous number

You teach me to type 1 and then hit ctrl+drag or type 1 then next cell 2 and drag.. - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

  • Both of those tricks work all the time if you do them correctly. Maybe when you type 1 and drag with Ctrl, you are not dragging the fill handle? It is just a matter of practice. Many of the Excel tricks are not easy to do. It takes time and practice. Maybe you can watch the video again and notice what the fill handle and cross hair cursor looks like, and then try it again. I hope it gets easier for you.

  • Hi!

how can I download your videos? and there is a page load error whenever i use the link that you posted to download the workbooks.

Unless you get a special program (like YouTube Batch Downloader - search Google for free program), you can't download videos.

If you download the workbooks, there should be no problem.

Watch this video to see how to do it:

  • Dear 00anonymous00,

I do not use a Mac, so I don't know Mac keyboard shortcuts. But someone told me that there is a setting in Mac Excel Options that allows you to use PC keyboard shortcuts.
