  • I'm 14 and I've wanted to be a Nashville Dominican since I was 11 and still do. Please pray for me in my discernment and could anyone tell me the music? It's beautiful!

  • Clean and crisp habits, rulers ready for punishing the naughtiest of little girls: it's amazing to see tradition alive and well!!!

  • wonderful calling.God bless.

  • why is it only the communities in the USA that have an age cut off.......surely they should look at the person who feels called ...not their ages........i long to be one and have felt called for so long ....but i am pst my sell by date for the US communities ..

  • @usnavymom1958 contact various orders some you will see on their sites that they are willing to make exceptions in various circumstances but you never know until you contact someone. :) God Bless

  • All faithful Christian women are brides of Christ, regardless of whether or not they live in a monastic community or what style of clothing they choose to wear.

  • WOW. THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL , SMILING FACES...

  • @lovemesweetifyschat

it is a waste of time to devote your life to a god that doesn't even exist! religion is all a fake.

  • @georgiadrew George! you dont understand what these women go through. These women of the Church Feed the poor, take care of the sick. What does your church do? Nothing. They devote their lives to God but they also take care of these people that need it. You dont understand.

  • one thign is for sure... they must all be dying for it

  • It's not about what the Sister wears, but who she is inside and what she does with her life.

  • How beautiful. Thank you.

  • i thought bride of Christ was his entire church, not just a handful of really ugly women...

  • They all look so happy!!!!

  • Thumbs up to the tidy nuns in starched blouses and prim veils: your modesty is a testimony.

As for the nuns in tshirts? Bride of Christ isn't the epithet that comes to mind.

  • @skanemermaid As for the nuns in tshirts? Bride of Christ isn't the epithet that comes to mind. ----don't be an hyprocrite after all they're consecrated to God and your still in the world so humble yourself and shut it! If you see something bad in showing the arms you're the one with a bad mind.

  • @nehagatari Are not nuns still in the world also? Also, are not all Christians, in a very profound and real way, consecrated to God anyway? What is the point of our baptismal promise if this is not so? The truth is that there is really nothing particularly "higher" about being a religious today. They don't give up very much, or really anything, in relation to what all Christians are called to give up and they actually live relatively privileged lives.

  • @BandofSorensons They give up a lot! You're not asked in the world (religious expression you shouldn't take literally) to give up marriage, you don't make vows of obedience and you don't lead a life without personal possessions..I understand your ideias they're correct in a world of dedicated and devoted christians. For me their only priveledge ( nuns)is living for God "full-time".We can sanctify ourselves in the world but that's difficult. You'r consecrated thru baptism but some people need more

  • @nehagatari As a married person I have made vows of obedience to my spouse and as a Christian I am obligated to be obedient to God and the Catholic Church. Only I don't live in an institution that regiments my day to day life and takes care of all my practical/financial concerns so that I might spend the day in prayer. In relation to married life, that's pretty easy. They only give up much up if you consider owning your own property and having a "career" something to give up.

    Totus tuus Maria!

  • Such a beautiful video. Even though they are not in traditional habits, they are in habits of decent value and are beautiful and represent the Faith well.

In general, this video has great value and the Holy Spirit could and probably does use it. God Bless us and all those in those pictures. Grant us perseverence.

  • look how beautiful they look in their habits. Heretical nuns should watch and learn.

  • nuns w/o habits = bad

well scrubbed nuns in white blouse - cleanliness on the way to godliness!

  • Wow people smiling in pictures, they must live wonderful lives.

  • I'm not living it yet, God willing I will be in August. It really is a wonderful life. There is no worries about who I'm with, what I'm wearing, what I look like, what I own or any of that.

We are in the world and we care deeply about it but we care about it in light of the world to come. How can I as a sister not be joyful, I get to be the bride of Christ. I am totally one hundred percent God's. Everything I am is my Lords. I am so blessed to have been given this amazing gift!

  • Religious vows are to be distinguished from Holy Orders, the sacrament which bishops, priests, and deacons receive. Hence members of religious orders are not part of the hierarchy, unless they are also ordained priests or deacons (sometimes referred to as "priest-monks").

  • They do so for the purpose of imitating Jesus more closely, mainly but not exclusively by observing evangelical chastity, poverty and obedience, which are the three evangelical counsels of perfection (cf. canons 599-601). They bind themselves to this form of Christian living by taking public vows in accordance with the norms of church law. They may additionally profess to obey certain guidelines for living, since each order has its peculiar charism.

  • Religious orders ('Religious Institutes', cf. canons 573-746) are the major form of consecrated life in the Roman Catholic Church. They are organizations of laity and/or clergy who live a common life following a religious rule under the leadership of a religious superior. Many of these are enclosed monastic orders, others are not.

  • Does anyone know how to download these videos? Not favorite them but actually download to my puter? Thanks.

  • You need to download and install Realplayer 11 on your computer first. You can do a google search for it, it's free. After you have installed realplayer, there will be a download function appear at the top right corner of every video you see.

  • I'm not Catholic, per se, but a Christain. Lovely video. God bless.

  • It is beautiful! i was taught by a dominican of st.cecilia. One of the sisters i know is in this video. I am interested in the sisters of life. They amaze me and i wish to join. Pray for vocations. God bless

  • definitly pray for vocations. good luck on your journey, perhaps we'll see you wearing the habit on you tube

  • What a beautiful video! Shows, very well, the beautiful life of Sisters. The life, in my opinion, is very beautiful, joyous, humbling, peaceful, and loving. The sisters become your family.

I recognize two of the orders I'm interested in. The Sisters of Life is the one I'm most interested in. I love their habits and charism. The life of protecting life is wonderful! I also saw the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus, where my friend is a candidate! I am interested in them too.

  • Also, this video shows that sisters are very happy people. So many people think that they are boring, crazy people who perform severe penances. I've even heard people go as far to say that they scourge themselves. I don't know anyone who does this!

  • true true true...........

  • This is so beautiful, and I also recognized a lot of the orders..the picture of Sisters at sunset is of our Sisters, then the one at 1:23! At 1:48, I believe Sr. Maria Gemma is on the right of the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, and I had lunch with her the other day! At 2:28, our Sisters are in their chapel, with Sr. Anna Laura [AWESOME] on right. At 2:21, there are the SSFPA again! Totally convinced this is one of the most beautiful videos on YouTube..

  • Thank you for the video

I am a young postulant and I am entering officially in october this year. I am very proud and honoured to enter the religious life. the order is the little sisters of the poor

  • May God be with the Sisters always. So meek and gentle yet so strong and brave.

  • It's so refreshing to see Sisters who aren't ashamed of who they are and what they stand for and wear an external sign of that. All Religious Orders should wear some form of habit again.

  • Hey. does anyone know what the name of the music is?. thanks

  • I believe its called Via de la Rosa. But don't quote me...

  • Thanks be to God for all of these beautiful souls who pray for us all!

  • Nuns are awesome...and the song rocks.

  • I enjoyed seeing so many sisters, in their habits, and it was funny because I have met quite a few of those sisters on there:)
