You're doin' good, but you need to fix the volumes a bit. But a ton of compressor on your drum track if you haven't already, and a little bit of reverb. And then set the volume so it's just barely louder than the rest of the song

i recently bought a pack of meinl mcs cymbal pack with hats crash and ride and a i had a crash and china i only have 2 mics and my kit sound cool with the cymbals but i dnt no bowt yours dont like them much but love the kit set up and the song 4 out of 5 for kit and song an the playing great job !!!!

Yes they can they have little adapters on them to mount to the clips but if you take them out they are the standard mic stand size

but i would sugest you get bigger crashes. i have a Zildjian A custom 18" projection and a Zildjian Z custom 17" medium crash if you want to check them out you can look at my vids. i have mics. tell me what you think

They're fine, the crash has a nice bite to it, and the hats are nice, but the ride isn't very...pingy. it doesnt have that bite that the high-end rides have. i've been meaning to get new cymbals for a while, but i am buying a new mixer tomorrow.

Paiste pst5 or paiste alpha series is what i work with.

PST5's are actually REALLY good for the money. but if your goin for quality and money isnt an issue Zildjian is the way to go

Y'know, Zildjian isn't necessarily the way to go. For instance, I think the Vaults sound better than the A Customs, and I think the Istanbul Traditional series is a lot better than the Zildjian K's. Though Zildjian does have some great products, like the Oriental Trash, the Crash of Doom, K Custom Hybrid, and etc.

Thanks! The only recording gear i got from my parents is the mixer and the software. I had to buy all of my own mics, cables, and stands. And the overhead isn't mine, im just borrowing it from someone in my band. I just ask for money from everyone for birthday/christmas and buy it. Thanks for the comment

I like them a lot. They sound really good for not being expensive, but for some reason, the punch of the kick didnt come through in the recording... oh welll...but anyway, I like them. you can also use the kick drum mic to record bass cabs...that sounds pretty cool. So, yeah, i would recommend them.
