A friend of mine had is almost stock (air intake only) evo VIII on a 4wd dyno and got 274hp, so i guess the 280hp claimed by mitsubishi is kind of accurate.
If the producer says 300 hp it means 300 hp on engine, not on wheels. AND IN FACT, it's around 280hp claimed by producer, so it will be low 200hp on dyno in stock condition, no more than 250hp

No... 4WD is only better in starts. During acceleration, weight shifts to the rear, wasting part of the power a 4WD sends to the front wheels, so RWD is better after the start. And RWD also usually corners better than 4WD because accelerating while turning in a 4WD car means less of the traction can be applied to cornering, while a RWD car doesnt use any front wheel traction to accelerate

that 300 is not wheel horse power that rating is at the motor a "stock" evo is around 250 on a dyno.

AWD is better in corners yes, but AWD is just RWD (front tires only come in work when rear tires lose grip).
4WD is not better in corners then RWD since they "skid" in corners making the car more unstable to steer and also more understeer.
