She looks so aggressive! Almost scares me... Her skills are amazing and she has a lot of talent but her facial expression doesn't fit to it... I know she's focusing and concentrating but other gymnasts are also able to do such hard stuff AND do not look as if they're really angry...

Her sturdiness reminds me a bit of Shawn Johnson, but her difficulty level and in-competition personality are extremely different.

While competing against Nastia, critics claimed Shawn had no artistry.. realistically, Shawn was actually quite graceful, she simply lacked Nastia's gorgeous lines.

Rebecca truly looks robotic. And although she has years to perfect details, a 6.2 at age 17 really won't stand a chance against the Chinese, or a successful Shawn Johnson comeback.

@aTruthWrappedInLies Lol it was enough to win nationals (1st all around, beam, bars, and 2nd on floor)and place silver at worlds last year. and she isn't robotic, she's just not afraid. I think she''s just very exact in her dancing, and she has gotten better with that part of the equation. Look at night 2 of the visa championships.

Personally I find her gymnastics really robotic. I know she's focused, but I can't help but take her facial expressions into account. Her concentrated face is distracting for me.

Realistically unless she increases her scores by a lot (which she does have the potential to do), she won't hold up against the Chinese, Russians, and other Americans who aren't competing yet. Shawn & Nastia, Bridget, and Jordyn Wieber are all coming strong.

This routine is great! There's 2 whole years before 2012, so she can improve in her form errors. Her dismount is great, one of the hardest being done in the world, if she changed it, what would she change it to?!

Even though it may look like she's a robot at times, i would say she's more aggressive than robotic! She's one of the most aggressive athletes i've ever watched (next to Shawn J), she really attacks the beam! At least it doesn't look like she's afraid of the beam..! ;p

I don't think she looks robotic, I think she looks aggressive. In my mind, she is synonymous with focus, risk, and flight. Basically she is intense. Though her artistry may appear to suffer from it, she's not diminished because she is courage and flight personified!

How would a double tuck/pike be worse? She can obviously do doubles. It's the landing on the double arabian that Bross can't get consistent. If she does a double tuck/pike, it's not a blind landing and she can land better.

i kno she can do high dbl tucks...but if it is pike,which has a higher DV than tucks, i wonder if she can do better than the arabian

I get what you mean: she loses 0.3 for deep squat and 0.3 for large step. By landing a high double tuck or pike with chest upright and only a small step she would earn like 0.3 points more.

But I hope she keeps doing the double arabian. Knees together too! Awesome
