That's an entirely different car! The CLK GTR black edition is in an entirely different league! You can't possibly compare that to a cayman or even an slk for that matter. It's a factory racer not a customer car that you buy off the showroom floor!?

Stupid girl car. Over powered and suffers from a low torsional rigidity due to the roof... And for the record the cayman R with the new PDK transmission, direct injection 3.4 liter 330 horsepower engine and, LSD can pull in a 4.8 second 0-100kph time (0-60mph for the Americans reading this).. So check your facts again before posting a video glorifying some overpowered chick ride.

Beg to differ...I have one and torsional rigidity is not an issue as it was designed as a convertable. Mine will lift a wheel of the ground on steep driveways. As for "girl car"..opinions differ. I like mine and I'm definately not a girl.

@onebadsavage26 I think that you just wanted a nice german car with the most horsepower you could afford.. and I could see how you came to the decision to buy this car but I just don't think it's as focused a car as the Cayman R. I think it is overpowered- just like any AMG- if you ask any true enthusiast they would recommend BMW and Porsche over any car because they are cohesive, and proportionate. The AMG branded Mercedes are just a glorified muscle car except for the CLK GTR Black edition.

@jsmarais83 CLK GTR Black Edition: Carbon fiber everything, no rear seats, lighter panels, and it clocks in 200 pounds heaver than the stock CLK. Why you ask? AMG tuning division managed to fit a 1 gazillion horsepower fusion reactor and even small ones make the car very heavy. At least thats vaguely how I remember J. Clarkson putting it before it melted his face off.

I hate to disappoint you but Boxster S with PDK can do 0-100km in 4.9 sec by using Launch Control. Cayman S is down to 4.6 sec. Mercedes is no competition to Porsche.

Yeah, it's pretty quick. It ran a 12.8 @ 111 in one of the magazines I have. Even though it's just a magazine, that's pretty quick for a naturally aspirated car.
