I have my thing running, it says it is streaming and its connected and everything and all of it seems to be working fine (In Yellowpages I have a name, site, and its public)

yet when I type in my IP followed by the port, it always says "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to XX.XX.XXX.XX:8000" (Sorry had to replace my IP with X) but does it have something to do with chrome, or another problem??

I installed everything and ran the Shoutcast DNAS (GUI) program after configuring it to an opened port (im on a router) of 8000 and a new password, but when I try to connect to it on firefox it says this in the DNAS console.. "[dest: (myip)] server unavailable, disconnecting" Output 1 is set to MP3 encoder 128kbps Mono and it says Cipher Response Received.. what am i doing wrong?

if you have a mac all you need is nicecast it has a built in server you dont need any of this you just press broadcast and it works. you can also use icecast its much easier

this must be a bad joke, I port forwarded & completed all the steps & it still won't connect. keeps saying invalid password. I use jetcast once & it worked immediately. Bad tutorial. your better off using another means besides shoutcast itself like virtual dj or jet cast to get onto shoutcast. much easier that way.
