I find your tutorials very useful, i've learnt a lot from your channel! IT WOULD BE REALLY COOL IF YOU COULD SHOW US HOW TO MAKE A MADEON SYNTH PAD LIKE THE ONES FROM RAISE YOUR WEAPON BY DEADMAU5 (MADEON REMIX)!
great stuff man. u kick ass. can u please do a step by step vid on how u made the beat. im coming from fl and want to start using logic or ableton. still cant decide. wanna look and see which one i understand better. if u want check out the last track i made with Fl Studios. just look up ( Ramil - Balancing Act ) talk to ya soon man thanks!
cool vid man as always, being clever is definitely a must for getting a decent song, you help loads with sound design people cant expect much more, but this def helps ppl
@Den5ity Thanks mate. I already have a massive pack on supplementalsounds and another massive pack, and a sylenth pack are to be released on there very soon! :D
Expensive synths do sound way better and software is really no match for quality hardware. Otherwise, why would companies waste their time and money making hardware synths.
yeah we dont need any expensive synths to create those massive warm sounds. In fact, if I have enough cash I definitely want to get a hardware synth. I think everyone else would like to have a nice powerfull Virus on their desktop :D but to be honest, your sound is totally amazing, massive, cant find any single word to describe it.Nice job mate. keep it up :)
very nice! However, I was hoping this would be a little more informational ie: showing us how you made those synths within ES1. I would really appreciate a video showing how you created them! : )
Man just looking at these comments is ridiculous... Everyone asking how to make each tiny little sound. what ever happened to experimenting and working stuff out yourself? These days aspiring "producers" are being handed everything they need on a shiny plate and will have all these sparkly sounding basslines ready without even knowing the basics of synthesis
so individually all of these synth sounds are just small little things but when you layer them o guess together they kind of all contribute to make one complete sound? How would you do that for like a melody? like one part starting a melody and another synth completing another part and another synth finishing off the melody. That'd be cool right ?
yeah finding a good sylenth torrent is hard as hell. Massive is everywhere though. It really doesn't really matter what synth you use cause in nutshell they all follow the same basic format depending on what kind of synthesis they use.
@darcytcb If you use a virtual machine, to run Mac OSx Snow Leopard etc, and do it that way, I ran my Intel Machine as a dedicated Mac for a bit, i've gone back to Win 7 64bit right now, but just google OSx86, and you should be able to find how to do it.
oh yeah you can get them for free! lol besides torrents. u can get demo versions and make ur own patches each time. after ur done making ur patch, bounce it! then save the audio! and yeah man ur right on. logics standard plugins are dope. ur right just gotta program em.
I have to say I was very impressed when you said they we're all ES1's. One question though, I'd like to know how you went about doing pitch glides in this vid. I know how to do them but yours seem to sound a bit better lol.
Dude you are the don loving the tutorials ive learned more from you in the last 2 weeks than i have meself in a year lol! you could easily run this as a business .
I empathise with you, people should stop looking at the tools and start to think about how to use them, these are not complex sounds and it has as much to do with the phrasing and rhythm as it has to do with the patches. Most subtractive synths can make most sounds heard in production, especially these mono synth lead and bass sounds grated with a different flavour.
Hi NZMusic101! quick question: Do you often write a 4/8/16 bar midi line then seperate seperate notes or sections to different synths, or simply lay down a few notes, start up a new sound then work out the next couple notes etc etc??
one question, I usually use my sidechain all the compressors on the synths to my drum buss but i see u have a seperate sidechain channel and when you solo the synths it's active without drums, can you explain what's on the sidechain track?
I consider myself an experienced producer but I always take something away from these videos, even if its just inspiration to open up my DAW and start experimenting. Everyone can benefit from a good tutorial. Would love to see a video on build-ups and breakdowns.
I am eagerly awaiting the vid that u said u were gonna upload about how to actually go about making that type of bass (can u include what sorts of sounds and fx to put in there?)
@sacredgeometry They are compared to other plugins lol. Take Zebra2 and Sylenth1. They are a lot better. And don't give me bullshit like its the person who uses it... I know how to use my plugins and I can hear a lot of differences in sound between them. Especially when it gets to hardware like Virus TI2. Sounds 100x better...
@newzealanddude92 Haha i prefer albino to the sound of my ti2 and there are even free plugins which are on par with the filter and osc sounds
It is how a person uses it, if you think thats bullshit then your sound design will suffer.
Listen to dry osc signals and compare their waves, then their filters then their envelops. The differences at least in sound quality these days are very small. Granted they have different flavours but thats a matter of subjectivism not anything more than that.

I say, sure go ahead and use a torrent, but if you are a decent human you should pay for it if you really like it.
If you can't afford it, then pay it when you can.
Its imo not wrong to get it via torrent so that you know what its like but in the end I would always pay for it some day.
I would never buy a CD without knowing if I like the songs ->

@sacredgeometry Like you said its subjective. My opinion these plugins wouldn't suffice. Tho I don't have logic, but I do know it comes with some pretty good stock plugins (Fx wise). newzealanddude92 11 months ago
@newzealanddude92 nope i just try to listen objectively, and i write everything from dubstep to jazz, classical piano scores to metal. Logics synths are lovely but not my cup of tea, its mainly an interface issue though not a sound one. The effects are wonderful especially for stock ones.
