i love the film flicka, but the wild horse race gets me every time - i was suprised they were allowed to put that in the movie..... its very brutal. :/

@Horseloverkooder I had no idea about the horses being killed! I looked it up and your right, 2 horses died..(that they know of)! Thanks for helping to get information like this out there!

@thedeath4ever Sadly, it is true..It wasn't 50 horses though, it was 2. One horse broke its leg 'after a misstep' and suffered a 'very rare' injury requiring the animal to be euthanized. The second horse died 2weeks later in the wild horse race scene from being kicked in the head causing him to spasm and then eventually die. It is real. The animals used were not wild, but hit and whiped to scare them into a frenzy. and it is covered up, by Fox.. and even super stars like Tim McGraw.
