have you noticed the staff people and audience are the same age? we respected one another at the time. they were also fans of the band as much as the cops on horses whatsoever.sorry to be a bore, but i really miss it...a grandma fan.
Our society went from somewhat normal, happy and lively to depressing, oppressive, empty just from having very unhealthy people taking over everything!
@MrJadePinwheel People are too sick to love music for the sake of music. They only talk about fame, no matter how untalented the person is and they pretend to enjoy the music. Everything is pretending now.
Over several decades of concert-going, one tends to accumulate some memorable moments, sometimes ones that were quite unexpected. I'd just finished high school when I saw this same '79 tour at Red Rocks outside Denver on a summer evening. The show was puncuated in the middle with Gerry Beckley alone on the piano, singing a medley of his songs. It was captivating. That was an unaffected, gifted young man. A bit different from most of what we have nowadays.
@bigginskie That was the days of "festival seating". First come...first serve....if you were the first one in you got the seat of your choice....not so anymore............
A little too fast for my taste probably because the disco era was in at this time. Music was fast and upbeat. Still love them and are a huge fan today it would have been very cool to be there but since i was about 10 or 11 at the time i probably wouldn't have appreciated them at that age. Seen them twice and going another two times this October. Can't wait.
A time when we had REAL music!!!! Thank- you Dewey for this classic!!!
