I should try this... I am having serious mana issues. I didn't think I should be doing any damage as a healer, but apparently, I was super wrong!

From personal experience healing Magmaw and omnitron on my shaman, I have the talent specced and I gain 40% more mana over the course of an entire fight more than most other healer classes I've played with. The problem is that you have to use the ability during quiet times in raid damage, such as when magmaw has his head down on the spike. Raid is taking no damage and I gain 4k mana profit per cast. Or omnitron when I'm able to stand in the damage boost field. So although only useful in particu

Well, Now Trlluric Current sucks bad.... Now it just gives 1 mana back per LB even if it is a crit lol... I posted a ticket to a gm to see if they wld change it or take it out and give us something else lol

Dont worry I get it now, problem I have found is that you don't really get the time in boss fights to cast the bolt or people die, as said earlier by someone, you need to be in a quiet point in any fight and then just click LB anyway. All this does is create a 1 button ctrl cast for 2 spells so therefore simplifies the cast - or am I missing the point ?

@Rich3119 indeed. lets you cast a bolt without having to take your attention off your raid frames to select the boss and cast bolts.

@Rich3119 use a heal mod like healbot...keep the boss targeted....just heal away and when you can...use a lb...no need to change targets. just remember...you arent getting 1800ish mana back. you would if lb was a free cast...but it isnt...i love it when ppl say they get 1800 mana.....um..lb is round 1400 to cast and not a fast cast...it would have been great if you got 40% back on say a shock spell...but those cost more mana....so it would have to be more than 40%, but its an instant.

Pretty sure GC said they were changing Telluric Currents to be less of a mana gain and more of an option for healers when they need to dps.

The problem with this is you cannot control your spells. You should only use the lightning bolt when the healing doesn't need to be high. Otherwise, you will get carry using this macro all the time. I use Telluric Currents like a kind of evocate which I can divide and use in a death point of the fight.

@4Shamouss I am "control"ling them. I spam 1 and hold down ctrl to heal, and don't hold ctrl to cast a bolt. Hold ctrl more when healing is needed, use more bolts when its not. To put it simply, this isn't a cast sequence macro.

I was thinking about this the other day and for a healer it will be useless when raiding as you wont have the hit rating needed for your LB's to not miss. Good idea though but a huge red herring for resto's.
