  • I went to Bali recently and saw this lady. I showed her the video on my smartphone. She just laughed and said "Orang Bodoh!", whatever that means??

  • You guys are good, this will help me in my upcoming trip thanks!

  • Lol Chinese food 5 dolla

  • US$1 = about Rp. 9000 (IDR) so Rp.100k for 2 still expensive

  • Leave blinky alone and stop writing bad comments. If you've been to Bali you would know what this video Is about. Bartering is a lot of fun and they don't expect the full price to be paid

  • I don't know why some people would get upset watching this ?? they expect you 100% to haggle with them to start with. They also bought their items in bulk and what possibly direct from the factory for even cheaper price. and by the end of the day.. if they don't think they're making the least bit of profit for them, they won't let it go !! and they know so many foot traffic going around the place, they will wait a bit longer for the next person if the item making a loss. cheers.

  • lol for 6 dollars :)

  • I know that you got away with saving about $9, but you seem pretty proud of yourself saving your money from a woman that works her backside off. Yes, she was asking 170rp to start off with, but 1 aussie dollar buys 9000 rupiah the last time I checked. So that's say $20 down to say $9. Why not post a video of you screwing down someone at Harvey Norman! What would have been really cool is if you gave the lady a 30000rp tip at the end. That would have been great.

  • hahahaha! youve been to bali mate? i got a ninja 250 as well! im from bali, this is true and funny

  • Do you enjoy living in Australia?

  • haha good job buddy. they can be persistant. Theres nothing offencive about this. People go to bali cos it's cheap. I hate paying for something then asking someone how much they paid only to find out its at least half what i paid.

  • After working in retail for the last 3 years i can safely say that she was not ripped off...at my store we stock clothing made of very high quality materials and they are lucky to cost more than about $13, that stuff she was showing him is shit quality and is pretty much worthless so cut him some slaack guys

  • To everyone bitching at blinky stfu this was funny as hell.

  • O.o wow thats like...7 bucks here

  • That made my day. So funny... Cheers mate.

  • That was awesome! lol

  • thanx heaps, going to bali for the first time and now know to start at one quarter

  • OMG YOU ARE SO F***** CHEAP!!!!...balinese works hard to every single penny for living but you feel great after haggling people ha.... It doesnt make you look smart on price you got there im telling you...would you do that in your own country? they are also human....Im balinese who lives in Canada but I dont do that here or either in Bali..You are worst even compare with local people who bargain. I know people like you probably wouldnt tip at restorant or compalint for free burger at MCDonalds

  • @MrLius07 Well its all up to them whether they want to sell it or not.

  • @zahedaphone Everyone knows its up to them whether they wanna sell or not OR whether he wanna huggle or not even 7 years kid now that. Read what he means by posting this:

(I think I have to put a disclaimer in here because some people are 'upset' by this video - I'm purely showing, in a comedic sense, haggling in Bali. There were many times when I didn't haggle, times when I tipped the locals and times when I bought things I didn't even want just to help them out)

    blinkycab..its not funny!!

  • @MrLius07

cheer up missy :) don't take life too seriously or u will die.

  • @zahedaphone woooww...someone is mad in here lol...im relaxed boy, i dont think you even have a dick lmao...see i dont take it serious lmao..probably you just like him...traveling with tight money and haggling local ppl..hahhahaa peace boy!!!!

  • @MrLius07 Do your homework, they are cheaply made clothes with illegal brands ripped off and those shorts as an example the shopkeeper would lucky if they paid $1 a pair for them

  • hahahaha dude that's the best negotiation i have ever seen

  • there was no 3:44

  • lol 85000 for 1 then for 2 its 175000

  • that was HEAPS good bartering

hope i have the confidence for that...

  • Great video and great advice form hawker39

  • price for 1 pair - "85(thousand)"

    price for 2 - "175 (thousand)"

my maths may not be great

    but im pretty sure 85 x 2 = 170

i you asked bout one pair, she picked up a 2nd, folded them and asked if you wanted something else...

  • 7. Converting their offers into your native currency and saying the price back to them in dollars shows them you're no dummy. They will stop thinking you're the big rich foreigner when you say "thats nearly 8 dollars, no way!!' A great tactic, one of my personal favourites

  • 5. Feel no sense of shame. Shopkeepers will ofeten try to make you feel uncomfortable by yelling to colleagues or other owners how "ridiculous' your bid was.

Even if it is, who cares? You're on holiday, you wont see these people again.

    6. PERHAPS THE MOST IMPORTANT (and obvious): When asked how much you want to pay, always lie. Small example. they ask for 30 you say no i wanna pay 10

(telling the truth) you will end up paying more than 15.

  • 3.Do not feel the need to go one-for-one with offers. If you feel their offer is too large, tell them to come down and that you wont make another offer until

they do. You will end up getting screwed going one-to-one. Once they've made a sensible offer, extend them the courtesy they showed you with their 1st offer ;-)

    4. Phrases like "alot less than that" , "come on, be realic" and 'well how much did YOU pay for it?" are your friend.

  • TIPS

1.Set time aside to shop.Haggling takes longer than you think. They assume you're busy and that you will want to deal quick.Turn this back on them.

If you take ages to deal with, they won't be able to drag anyone else into their shop.

    2. If you want more than one of the same item (especially things like towels, singlets, generic t shirts, wallets, watches) DO NOT LET

THEM KNOW. If they ask how many youre interested in, LIE. Say 1, get your best price, then offer 1.5x that for 3 items ;-)

  • she go 85000 at one pair and 175000 at two

  • Great video thanks for sharing. i have sent it to my sister who says she is not going to barter ha ha when we go to bali

  • @lisacrofts Thanks for enjoying. I'm going back again later this year. It's so much fun there, it's a really nice place and the people are lovely

  • ahahaha,nice video dude

  • Hahaha, afterall u did pay way to much dude !

  • people who saw the kid go RAHH at 2:40

  • Theres nothing upsetting in this video.

Vietnam is the same. You have to haggle at the markets. Ive heard tourists being ripped off so much in front of me.

Being street smart is something everyone should know about. Can save you a bit of money for some beer.

  • OH common blinky!! SHOW US YOUR FACE! haha

  • (I think I have to put a disclaimer in here because some people are 'upset' by this video - I'm purely showing, in a comedic sense, haggling in Bali. There were many times when I didn't haggle, times when I tipped the locals and times when I bought things I didn't even want just to help them out)

  • IDR 5,000 for a kilo of rice could feed her family for a day - show just a little bit of compassion. What's a dollar or two here or there for us, but a lot for them.

  • u retard only pay max 15000 for each

  • HAHAH rating this mate, from Australia.

  • 60,000 Rupiah = $6.80 AUD. Good deal mate.

  • ...

lol i just came back form tiland i got somting from $1000 to 250 it took half an hour but it was worth the cap and glases

  • how much is 60000?? in aussie dorra's??

  • thats like 6 dollars for two pairs or shorts . hahahahah not to bad

  • lol funny how your voice changes while u barta:P

  • @trooper137 lol every one does it it just paying them out without them knowing

  • haha for the win.

  • 85 for 1 and u got both for 60..hahahahaha!! What a hussler!! nice ma man!! loool

  • Nice bartering my man!

  • Blinky !! hurry up and upload more videos lol im totally hooked on your "vlogs"

  • you are suppose to be riding a bike telling us things about the biike not fafin about in a supermarket in the middle of some where, come on !

  • BINTANG means Star

  • lol!!! the kid @ 2:41 acutally scared me jumping from behind the clothes :P

  • Hhaha I almost felt sorry for her...

  • Very interesting video. I felt sorry for the lady though. I can't haggle. I suck at it. I would have asked for cheaper and if she said no I would have paid the first price. In Taiwan it's much better....because everything is a set price. And if you want cheaper you can ask once politely (and they'll usually come down a bit) and that's it.

  • @13mordeth heey does m13 know blinky? u guys shuld like team up on a canada/ aussie tour of like vietnam or sumthin :D

  • aahhahahahahaha nice price .D

  • what is the point of pixelating the guys face? i can still clearly see him..

    haha

  • @xHaan I didn't pixelate his face - that's how he looks

  • LOL!!!! 60 rupiah is like 0.01 Canadian!!! WOW!!! Now that's a deal!

  • Comment removed

  • hahaha shes like ' less price for good luck.... can you give me a little bit more please friends '..... and your 'wearin' a helmet in all your pics lol

  • @typhlosion6000 no hes not wearin the helm, he just photoshoped it. ^_-

  • @xninjazx6r lol yea i noticed after i watched it a second time but i already left the comment so whatever....lol felt pretty stupid at the time though :)

  • Comment removed

  • well done

  • That lady is still making a good profit for that price.

  • very nice man

  • Lol, Children of the Clothes? (Children of the Corn)

  • lol

  • 100 rupiah!!!

  • how come on all your videos you never show your face???..are you ugly.....are you ashamed????

  • @TheJ4ac i think its more of a saftey thing

  • @TheJ4ac Coming from someone who has never made a video or seems to have no plans to make a video. It is a safety thing as Borderline has stated. Vloggers have been stalked and some in trouble with the law or will be in the future. Very rude your comment.

  • @nightrider250R well i was'nt trying to be rude u cunt so you need to stay off of bcabs nuts bitch and someone has already explained to me in a better way so get your fucking turtle out of my pond and stfu bitch

  • @TheJ4ac A better way? I gave facts while someone just gave you what he thought. Also you should really invest in a better analogy. Last how were you not trying to be rude. You insulted someone you dont know over the internet.

  • @nightrider250R wow so you just wasted like 10 minz of your life trying to found the guy who gave me a reason why blinky cab never shows his face FAIL.and i insulted you so you can stop replying

  • @TheJ4ac The response was right above your comment so I saw his (or hers) before yours. I never said anything about insulting me i meant the guy making the videos for your and my entertainment. I could care less if you insulted me.

  • nice bahdaing

  • haha that's awesome, nice skills ninja :D

  • Hilarious....I loved this video. The final price shows you what a rip off the first price really is, from 175,000 to 60,000.

  • @suziegirlau I wouldn't call it a rip off. The first price was reasonable for two pairs of shorts. And if the extra money goes towards buy food for her children then what's the problem?

  • @13mordeth The difference between you and him is that you go around saving stray dogs, he goes around taking food off a poor person's plate..

  • What do those prices translate to in American or Australian currency?

  • @ThaBR33D on google translator it turns out to be like $7

  • i watch your videos not only to learn tips on riding but also to see the interesting roads and sights in bali

  • Haha at the little boy :D

  • You were haggling not bartering blinky. Just saying.

  • @goopy84 Good call

  • 2:41 haha. Good work man

  • 175,000 = about 20 dollars (according to Google.)

  • @bigrod29 lmao at your last sentence.

  • haha why cover your face at the end?

  • @slipknotismyband He doesn't want to be recognized :)

  • in the first picture of yourself i actually thought you were wearing a helmet thinking you were an idiot , then i noticed in the next picture your hair was sticking out.. and it was crooked. guess im the idiot in the end :D

we had to barder alot when i lived in Costa rica.

  • I've only recently came across your videos blinkycab, but I'm honestly surprised at how little views they get considering how good you are at making them. Keep it up man! Awesome videos.

  • buy my bag or i will eat your face
