if you opponent attacks a face down monster, it is flipped face up when attacked but it is not considered to be summoned. the attacked monster still can get it's flip effect but you must flip a monster on your turn to have it considered flip summon.

Question; lets say i have Des Lacooda face-down, and my opponents attacks it and destroys it, is it considered flip summon?
