  • Tutorial please...

  • More blur and then all be awsome man

  • Nice make more!

  • DUN DUN DAN DA DUN!

  • you have to learn more about color corection

  • @aghaanantyab I know what you mean, but that's more related to the shot then any specific color correction technique. It's taken in dull lighting with plain white walls in the background. There's really no amount of color correcting that's going to magically turn this into a dynamic shot .Check my latest clip, where I composite a CG Iron Man helmet into a shot using a Vray HDRI map, I think you'll see an improvement :).

  • I say you did quite nicely on this one. Although i must recommend a bit more color correction. maybe darken the whole picture get the mesh to match that atmosphere.

  • y the fuck can every body but me do this is pissin me off

  • How did you do the eyes so that move?

  • it looks more like Kano from mortal kombat

  • awsome

  • This is very well done. Only thing you can improve on is the lighting, and the color correcting. To make it look like it's really there ya know?

  • I'm assuming you'd need a3D model for this, it's cool though except the lightinn on your camera is too different from the Replacement, silll very cool, i didnn'n't even the general pubbllcad access to this yet lol.

  • Great job. you should try to make a movie.

  • thank you so much fr this links

  • Wow! That actually looks very good!

    Great job, man!

  • alah

  • VERY NICE!

  • make some color correction to the 3d model... it looks way too colorful and fake

fix that and it will be perfect :)

  • Looks Realistic!

  • looks better than in the orgin movie xDD sry for my bad english :P

  • hi, nice job. Did you hand animate the eye movement or track the other eye as a separate solve and use that to drive the laser eye? If so could you elaborate a bit? thanks :)

  • @photonstudios Hey thanks man. I did end up animating the eye movements by hand, which wasn't as bad as it might sound. The eyes include a convenient "Look At" Helper in Max so all you have to do is move this little gizmo around and the eyes automatically follow it.

Then it was just a matter of scrubbing through the timeline and animating the eye based on the position of my real eye. Also, when shooting the clip I did purposely make decisive & specific movements with my eye, which helped alot.

  • wow...if ur fan now :P

  • good work! gg

  • i like how the eye moves :P

  • Top notched!

  • hey its really nice....can u send me the t-800 3d model?

  • It's in the descrption.

  • awesome...3D...sound...everything...i though that you are a robot..lol

  • fucking awesome. Now make a film that requires it

  • Thats awesome

  • PERFECT TRACK! Very well done.

  • What Program Did You Use? Just Curious

  • It's right up in the description there, but I used Syntheyes 2008 for the tracking, 3dsMax for the skull and stuff, and then After Effects to composite it all together.

I hadn't used Syntheyes before, but I was quite pleased with the workflow and the result.

  • Perfect track, but your compositing needs a ton of work!

  • nice!

You may want to post this as a video resopnse?

  • Hey thanks man, I appreciate it. I was definitely gonna send you a link, but you beat me to it...How did you find the video?

Great tutorial, really thorough and easy to follow along.

  • Compositing needs a lot of work, but a very solid track. Nice.

  • that was amazing the tracking is perfect!!! as fjrsm said, just a pinch of blur will do nice. : )

  • Not bad but it's too sharp. It needs a bit blurring and noise addiction.
