  • Great ax, just needs a better out of the box setup and change the crappy Epi tuners to retro fitting Gotohs

  • Would 500 be a good price to get one used?

  • @diablo9333 The Epi? You may be able to haggle down to $400.

  • nice guitar...... how much?

  • hahaha I would get that guitar just because it has seymour duncans, then I would put it in my gibson traditional pro

  • @ChanielDang

yeah that would be a rad idea, but you cant coil split the slash duncans as they are single conductor wire, and im sure, as any buyer of a LP traditional pro would, you like the coil tapping feature

  • @VelvetFuckinRevolv3r haha yeah I guess you're right

  • Slow down dude, this song isnt a speed contest

  • cool guitar....... when playing intro to SCOM lift your fingers of the strings to clean it up a litlle.

  • cool!!!

  • the intro SCOM is wrong! omg, you forgote the last note

  • I can't afford a real Less Paul at this time, but I did find a player, that s a vintage Encore guitar that looks just like a less Paul classic accept for the open book head stock an the inscription on the head stock, from my research I' ve found that one of the luthers that worked in the Ibenze factory at that time did work for Gibson. It works for me. But I'm not famous.

  • the standard because if you get a signature and ever get a record deal...how would that make you look as a guitarist ripping off another?

  • the 59' you cant pass up that tone

  • wait for the new slash models...

  • get the standard 59'

  • I can see a signature, but it's directly underneath where your wrist sits and the guitar is still being played????

  • LOL I need to get it laquered or something...

  • Uhhhhhhhh.....YEAH!!!! I'd say!! Reminds me of a buddy that had a Washburn Paul Stanley-model with a signed pickgaurd and didn't even know what he had, so he just thrashed it out and the signature is nearly gone now. :-(

  • how much does this guitar cost??

  • About 1K.

  • a little fast but good

  • yo u play very good but the tab or whatever you are playing is wrong, the notes are wrong but its actually hard to get the sweet child o mine real tab

  • do u think this is better then a Gibson les paul studio??? PLEASE answer back i am trying to decide which one i want

  • yes

this guitar is MUCH better than a Les Paul Studio

  • Well honestly it depends on what ur playing or if ur wanting to upgrade. The Gibson has better wood and electronics normally, but in this case the Slash Les Paul has upgraded pots, tuners, and Seymour Duncan pickups so you really only lose wood quality. If you want the Slash sound and go with the gibson you can achieve it but it won't have the Alnico 2 propickups so you will put more money into the studio after the additional cost.. With this Epiphone you're getting much better value..

  • its just as good coz they have the same pickups... the only difference is the name in the headstock... if your only after the tone, epi is just right, but if your after the image, brand and budget is not a problem... go with the gibson! i think its a $3-4K difference...☺

  • did you play the sweet child o mine with ur bridge? it sounded like it.... :/

  • He is using the neck pickup, if you watch carefully, you can see the switch turned down, which is Treble, which is Neck Pickup. Hope I helped.

  • confused here, on my les paul (and all the other guitars I have) the treble position is the bridge pickup, and the rythem postion is the neck pickup.

  • Than I'm wrong, because I really don't have a Les Paul and I just couldn't know which of them is which.

  • ok. I have a lp and a few others, but i am not good at playing. I started collecting guitars before i even started to learn how to play, thats why i have several. I thought maybe Slash himself just rotated the switch so it went backwards, for his comfortability, and thats what you might have been sayin. lol. all good.

  • Uhhhhh....no. The treble pickup is the BRIDGE (down position on toggle) pickup, and the rhythm pickup is the NECK (up position on the toggle), jackass.

  • @revolutionday1 Why did you called me jackass, I don't have a Les Paul and I don't know which is what I have other guitar, so why did you call me jackass???

I see you are from the U.S. that's explain everything.

  • If you don't actually have a Les Paul, maybe you shouldn't go posting a comment more-or-less acting as if you know what you're talking about, then?? JACK-ASS!!!

Feel free to flame this moron back into the stone age for shitting on the United States, people.

  • @revolutionday1 You obviously you have on? Right? You can call me whatever you want, but the thing that you know one thing and want to make everyone around you look dumb is pretty childish. And I know that the switch was turned to treble and that's it and I'm sure you know nothing about what I play or what I do, so stop making yourself clever.

P.S.: You could go to a shrink to tell you how much complexes you have. Which is obvious by the way you call everyone.

  • Learn English before you go trying to talk shit on here, okay Euro-trash?? "You makes youself look as if idiot moron".

  • @revolutionday1 Don't call me Euro-thrash, because if you're white your ancestors probably came from Europe, so it's kind of screwing yourself.

  • "I will not reply you anymore, because it'll mean to fell on your level. So I think I'll pass. " Stick to you guns, Suckabitch. Everybody's done reading your rants. You spoke on something you obviously and admittedly had no clue about, and you got called out. Keep the line moving, asshole.

  • @revolutionday1 And one more thing, I will not reply you anymore, because it'll mean to fell on your level. So I think I'll pass.

  • Yes IT Explains everything. Jk, some people from the us can be dicks, others are not.....CANADA!!!!!WOOO!!!!!

Dont worry about ur les paul guitar thing, i used to get how they work mixed up all the time.......and life goes on......

    Happy guitar playing :)

  • you forgot one note with sweet child o mine :P nice sound, getting a orgasm :P

  • I have a epiphone les paul standered it plays like a dream exept for some fret buzz any advice on fixing it

  • You can try adjusting the truss rod to raise the action slightly.... that should fix it.

  • the truss rod?

  • Yeah the rod in the fretboard... turning the screw (covered by the Epiphone plate by the nut) will contour the fretboard as needed.

  • you are skipping the last note in sweet child o mine

  • I might get one. Would you chose this over a gibson studio?

  • personal taste man, i own the studio and i love it, but ive heard great things about this guitar

  • yeah studios are great...tell you what else is a fantatic guitar an orville les paul..all the parts and pick ups of a real les paul standard just with out the gibson name and a fraction of the price

  • god fucking damit when will ANYBODY FUCKING REALIZE THAT GUNS ISNT JUST SWEET CHILD O MINE im not talking about the guy whos playing just those stupid fucks who are like "oh yah sweet child o mine and welcome to the jungle are the best songs ever" i personally think sweet child and welcome are way to over rated and there are WAY better songs that guns has made

  • Don't Damn Me is a prime example

  • simple - i pull out my wad of cash and pay for it.

  • i did so too

  • speed

  • think id sell my gibson sg for it ... i want one

  • sounds awsome !

  • How's the sustain on this guitar?

  • As singing as I have ever heard...

  • I might get one.

  • just got mine today

  • congrats man. post some vids soon.

  • I've seen the video of slash at the guitar center in Northridge and he played this on a gibson version of this guitar. It sounded the same as this so it's cool that they didn't skip on quality sound with this epiphone.

  • Agreed. I have done nothing to this guitar... The tone is just big and sings...

  • its 1000 bucks , for a epiphone , do you think is better than the gibson les paul standard ? thats now around the same price or the gibson les paul studio thats 700 bucks ? which one would you rather have ?

  • Is the Gibson LP Standard 1K? I thought they were more... I think I would take a Gibson over an Epiphone if they were both 1K. But since I think the Gibson is way more, I would then say the Epi, which plays well and has the Seymour Duncans already installed... hope this helps!

  • studios suck

  • Dude, can you tell me where you got the epi model 'cause i cant find it. I can only find gibson.

  • I bought it from a co worker who won it in a contest at a live concert put on by his employer, Best Buy. After he won it, Slash autographed it. Maybe Musicians Friend has one?

  • ebay, i just bought one yesterday

  • Congrats man. Post a vid soon so we can hear the tone...

  • I'm thinking about getting the Gold Top version.

  • Go for it bro. This guitar is one of my favorites... I bet the Gold Top is even better.

  • Dude, you play out of the wrong pick up. you got a too sharp tone, atleast at the sweet child o mine intro. nice playing though.

  • Slash playes SCoM with the neck pup, which is the one I am using. In the room, it sounds EXACTLY like the intro.... maybe the USB mic added some high or something.

  • it dose sound a little too, trebly, awesome though

  • You can get the same sound on a cheaper guitar.

  • wow u scored dude

    slash ROX!

  • it's not autographed it's slash's signature guitar most of them have it

  • Not true. Most do not have an autograph on the body. It was signed by Slash himself at a concert held by Best Buy here in California for their employees. My friend won the guitar, then was autographed in person... The guitar comes with a signed picture of Slash, but not an autograph on the guitar itself.

  • look when he moves the hand on the right it is singed by slash

  • of course it is look at the body

  • i hav the same 1 but its not autographed...........lucky

  • That.. 'somebody' is Slash.

    :P

  • I dunno maybe cuz its SLASH??? O>O

  • im sorry but as a guitarist i would rather represent myself, than another guitarist

  • Its just an autograph of a true guitar hero, and has nothing to do with my style or playing. I barely know 3 GnR's tunes, but love the tone and feel of the guitar.

  • do u know what stores sell the slash sig. epiphone?

  • Guitar Center maybe? I think Musicians Friend online would. Hope this helps.

  • at the begining when you played sweet child o' mine use your fourth finger

  • slash uses only 3 fingers for that part

  • @vicho815 you have a fourth finger why not use it?

  • I WANT THIS GUITAR!!!!

  • how the heck did u get it signed by him? how much is it?

  • I actually bought it from a co-worker who had it signed at a Best Buy concert that Slash played at in California. He signed 20 of the guitars... i got one of em.

  • very very nice. i just bought one myself. i wish mine was signed though

  • is ur guitar signed by slash?

  • By the man himself.

  • ya i bought this guitar. i chose it over a bunch of gibsons. its that good

  • i got the same guitar

    i love it

    greatest guitar ive ever bought

  • i think ya need to tune a half step down buddy as that is waht slash normally tunes to in his songs like this one

  • Yeah i think your right. Makes it easier to play too...

  • Yup. Put on a set of Ernie Ball 11's and detune 1/2 step. Great full sound and easy on the fingers.

  • Guitar and playing sounds really cool Brett! I really like the dark sunburst too - the tobacco burst finish

  • Comment removed

  • Is the Slash Signature as hevy as the Standard?

  • Its not that heavy, although truthfully I usually play sitting down, not standing. But it doesnt seem that much heavier than my alder strats.

  • It sounds amazing, I purchased a les paul signature slash guitar myself on layaway. I'm trying to do some research on the internet if its really worth my time purchasing it. From the sounds of it, it sounds great. I just want to know what Kind of Amp are you using? I'm really oblivious when it comes to amps If you have any recommendations please comment. I noticed you said JSX combo, can you specify what Brand it is? eg. Vox, Peavy, Marshalls,

one question. Are the pickups really Duncans?

  • I highly recommend the JSX, which is the Peavey Joe Satriani model. I have the combo, and I love it. Check out my other vids for the variety of tones from the JSX. I also really enjoy the Slash Epi. It really does have Duncan Alicno Pro IIs in it, which gives it a really singing tone. I hope this helps. Let me know if you get one...

  • Hey it sounds soo good , I have the same guitare but I don't know why it doesn't sound like this,... I already saw some videos here and I can tell you my guitar doesn't sound like yours,... which effect are you using...??

  • The amp has a lot to do with it too. I use the JSX combo, which is great. Here, im using reverb and a slight delay, 120ms w/ one repeat. Also, check out the Still Got the Blues vid for both pups.

  • hey dude my idol is slash and i got 2 guitars a epiphone les paul standard with gibson humbuckers but i like the tone of youre guitar maybe i sell mine and buy a slash signature epi.

But what do you like about the guitar and can you tell the difference aboute the standard and the slash epiphone pls

Btw good playing Greets from holland

  • Hey mate. I would recommend the Slash Epi...it plays well, and the Duncan Alicno II Pros are what give it the tone that Slash has...

  • wow bro i still can't get over how sexy that les paul is. i want one so bad signed or not at this point. and a tip bro try playing sweet child o mine in the rhythm p/u it sounds much better. i realzed that he plays it in the rhythm p/u after playing along with the song.

  • Thanks. Is the rhythm pup the neck pup? Cause i played this on the neck position, which I thought is what Slash played it on (may be wrong though).

  • the rhythm pup is right

  • yea thats what he plays it in. i guess its your pup's that give it more balls cause it sounds like me playing it in my bridge pup. but yea he plays it in the neck. look like your were playin it in the bridge my fault bro. stil awsome tho. i want one. guitar center has the epi verson for 1000. and they go all the way up to the gibson version's that run 10,000

  • great but dont let the tones ring in each other in sweet child omine

  • How much did you pay for it?

  • man you should frame that guitar since it has slash's signature on it! nice playing though

  • Man I thought about it, but it plays and sounds so sweet. I am gonna put some lacquer over it though, so it wont fade.

  • sounds like a good idea!

  • use the other pick-up...

  • Yeah I should have played a little on the bridge. Also the "sweet woman" tone (neck pup with tone all the way down). Check out my Still Got the Blues vid for both pups. Thanks bro.

  • hey thats awesome, how did you manage to get Slash to sign your axe?? well done!

  • Thanks. He signed it at a "Best Buy" concert he played at.

  • Sweet tone o' mine!

  • I have the same guitar....with no real signature though...i would really love to meet slash :(

Really rocks though :D Check my vids too!
