As an american I can say I'm honestly jealous. Sure because of the gold but also to have a city, or even a country, be this patriotic towards their hockey team. I have notice as of lately that the US is beginning to take steps in the right direction... but baby steps. Your country is so great in hockey, and it would be great to call you "rivals" as opposed to just saying "We played you and one once, off of sheer luck."

I was in abbotsford at an icerink when Sid scored and they had like 3 huge screens with the game playing and in OT everyone when quiet! Then he scored and cars were honking EVERYONE even none hockey freaks were going crazy! The only place where hockey is so important!!

@Galactic123 We DID totally lose our minds!!! In Northern Ontario, we could have fired a cannon down main street! Time stood still, but when CANADA won GOLD??!!! OMG!! Even the cops were LOSING it!! NO cars went down my road during the game, but after about 5 or 10 min. or so., all of a sudden, horns honking, brakes squealing,... etc!!! CELEBRATION time!!!
